WARNING: DUE TO THE TECHNICAL NATURE OF THIS PRODUCT,
AND SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT, PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION IS
RECOMMENDED.
STEP 1
Properly raise and secure vehicle on either a drive-on
automotive lift or place all four wheels onto ramps which
are positioned on a level plane to prevent any twisting of
the uni-body prior to installation of sub-frame connector.
STEP 2
Identify right and left side sub-frame connectors and all
sub-frame connector mounting points on vehicle.
STEP 3
Remove factory installed tunnel brace. For a weld on
installation the factory installed aluminum heat shield
must also be removed. The heat shield can be reinstalled
with slight modifications upon completion of welding.
STEP 4
Install threaded backing plates into their respective
locations and align with existing holes in body. The flat
threaded backing plate is used at the outboard mounting
location whereas the offset threaded backing plate is
used at the forward mounting location.
STEP 5
Position sub frame connector into place and carefully
align threaded backing plates with holes in mounting
plates of sub frame connector. Using the supplied metric
fasteners attach sub frame connector to vehicle but do
not fully tighten until all fasteners have been installed.
CAUTION: INSTALLATION OF THIS PRODUCT REQUIRES WORKING
UNDER THE VEHICLE.IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INSTALLER
TO ENSURE A SAFE WORKING ENVIRONMENT.THE USE OF AN
AUTOMOTIVE LIFT IS RECOMMENDED. MAKE SURE THAT THE
VEHICLE IS SAFELY SUPPORTED AND ALWAYS USE JACK STANDS.

STEP 6
Identify right and left side rear end carrier loops and bolt
into place using remaining fasteners.
NOTE: 3/8 – 16 x 1 inch fasteners are to be used at attachment
points between sub frame connector and rear end carrier loops.
STEP 7
Tighten all fasteners to approximately 28 ft/lbs of torque.
To insure maximum performance from this product the
manufacturer recommends welding of the sub frame
connector to the vehicle.
CAUTION! Welding should be performed by a trained or competent
operator. All welding safety precautions should be followed
when welding on this or any vehicle. Be certain to check for fuel
or fuel vapor leaks prior to welding on this or any vehicle. Keep
a short current loop by placing ground clamp as close to work
as possible. Disconnect negative battery cable.
STEP 8
Upon completion of welding and after all welds have
cooled remove the four bolts at the tunnel brace mounting
location. Trim each side of the factory tunnel brace to fit
into the mounting location and install by replacing the
four bolts previously removed and torque to 28 ft/lbs.
NOTE: The 10mm-1.5 x 35 bolts are to be used at the tunnel
brace mounting location.
