REPLACEMENT HARDWARE KIT
FOR #20460 LADDER BARS
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
#20536
GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Jack up rear of vehicle, place jack-stands under
the axle and let all weight down on jack-stands.
2. Remove nuts from both lower control arm pivot
bolts. The threaded portion should be towards
the inside of the vehicle. Remove these only
to correct.
3. Carefully move brake lines so that the upper
saddle clamp will not crush it when it is installed.
4. Install rubber bushings into front truss bar tubes.
(2 per bar.) Install the truss bar using the lower
pivot bolt and the four 1-1/2" saddle clamp bolts.
Tighten just enough to hold in place.
5. Assemble the two-piece front anchor bracket
using 7/16 x 1" bolts.
6. Install the bracket on the front lower control
arm bolt.
7. Using the 1/2 x 3” front pivot bolt, assemble the
truss bar to the bracket. The top bolt hole is for
stock height cars, the lower for cars that have
been raised.
8. Hold the bracket tight to the frame and mark
the holes.
9. Disassemble and drill 7/16" diameter holes.
10. Re-assemble using the supplied frame
back-up plates.
11. Tighten all bolts. Jack rear up, carefully remove
jack-stands and set car down. This completes
the installation.
For severe use we recommend welding of the bar to
the axle housing and anchor bracket to the frame.
