INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Bolt-on Ladder Bars - Part No. 20460

CAUTION: INSTALLATION OF THIS PRODUCT REQUIRES WORKING UNDER THE VEHICLE. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INSTALLER TO ENSURE A SAFE WORKING ENVIRONMENT. THE USE OF AN AUTOMOTIVE LIFT IS RECOMMENDED. MAKE SURE THAT THE VEHICLE IS SAFELY SUPPORTED AND ALWAYS USE JACK STANDS. ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES.
STEP 1
Safely raise rear of vehicle and securely support on jack stands.
STEP 2
STEP 3
Remove fasteners that secure brake lines to axles and push aside.
STEP 4
Install rubber bushings into front truss bar tubes. (2 per bar).
STEP 5
Install the truss bar using the lower pivot bolt and the four 1 ½” saddle clamp bolts (supplied). Do not securely fasten at this time.
WARNING: DUE TO THE TECHNICAL NATURE OF THIS PRODUCT, AND SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT, PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION IS RECOMMENDED.
STEP 9
Securely hold the front anchor bracket to the frame and mark holes for drilling.
STEP 10
Disassemble the truss bar from the bracket, and remove the bracket from the vehicle for drilling.
STEP 11
Drill two 7/16” holes in frame on marks made from step 9. A center punch is recommended.
STEP 12
Positions back up plates on opposite side of holes drilled in step 11 and reassemble brackets and truss assembly.
STEP 13
Secure tighten all fasteners.
NOTE: Ensure that saddle brackets doe not interfere with brake lines.
STEP 6
Assemble the two piece front anchor bracket using 7/16th x 1” bolts. Note that left and right side brackets are opposite.
STEP 7
Install the front anchor bracket on the front lower control arm bolt.
STEP 8
Assemble the truss bar to the bracket utilizing the ½” x 3” front pivot bolt. Position the bar in the top bolt hole for stock ride height vehicles or the bottom bolt hole for vehicles that have been raised.

STEP 14
Road test vehicle and periodically re-torque fasteners as required.
NOTE: Axle and frame brackets can be welded for severe duty.
