SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This manual explains the proper installation and use of your cooker hood,
please read itcarefully before using even if you are familiar with the product.
The manual should be keptin a safe place for future reference.
These instructions shall also be available in an alternative format, e.g. on a
website or on request from the user in a format such as a DVD.
Never to do:
● Do not try to use the cooker hood
without the gr eas e filters or if the filters
are excessively greasy!
Do not install above a cooker with a
●
high level grill.
Do not leave frying pans unatt ended
●
during use because overheated fats or
oils might cat c h fire.
●Never leave naked flames under the
cooker hood.
If the cooker hood is damaged, do not
●
attempt to use.
Do not flambé und er the cooker hood.
●
CAUTION: Accessible parts may
●
become hot whe n us ed with cooking
appliances.
The minimum dist ance between the
●
supporting surface for t he cooking
vessels on the hob and the lowest part
of the cooker hood. (When the cooker
hood is loc at ed abov e a gas appl ianc e,
this distanc e s hall be at least 65 c m)
The air must not be discharged into a
●
flue that is used f or ex hausting fumes
from appliances burning gas or ot her
fuels.
Always to do:
●Important! Always switch off the
electricit y supply at the mai ns dur ing
installation and mainten ance such as
light bulb replacement.
The cooker hood must be installed in
●
accordance w ith the installation
instructions and all measur ements
followed.
All installation work must be carried
●
out by a compete nt per s on or qualifie d
electrician.
●Please dispose of the packing material
carefully. Ch ildren are vulnerable to it.
Pay attention to t he s harp edges
●
inside the cooker hood especially
during insta llation and cleaning.
When the cooker hood is located
●
above a gas appli anc e,the mini m um
distance between the support ing
surface for t he c ooking vessels on t he
hob and the lowest par t of the cooker
hood that distance must be:
Gas cookers : 75 cm
Electric cookers: 65 cm
Coal or oil cookers: 75 cm
Make sure the ducting has no bends
●
sharper than 90 d egrees as this will
reduce the efficiency of the cooker
hood.

Warning: Before obtaining access to

terminals, al l s upply circuits must be
disconnected.

Always to do:
●Always put lids on pots and pans
when cooking on a g as c ooker.
●When in extract i on mode, air in the
room is being re m oved by the cook er
hood. Please make sure that pro per
ventilation measures are being
observed. The cooker hood rem oves
odours from ro om but not steam.
Cooker hood is for domestic use o nly.
●
If the supply cord is damaged, it mu s t
●
be replaced by the manufactur er , its
service agent or s imilarly qualified
persons in ord er to avoid a hazard.
●
This appliance can be used by
children aged f r om 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilit ies or lack
of experience and knowledg e if they
have been giv en s uper vision or
instruction co nc erning use of t he
appliance in a saf e way and
understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the
appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenanc e s hall not be made b y
children with out superv is ion.
Always to do:

Caution: The appliance and it s

during operat ion. Be careful t o avoid
touching the he ating element s .
Children younger than 8 years old
should sta y awa y u nles s t hey are
under permanent supervi s ion.
●There shall be adequate ventilation of
the room when the c ooker hood is
used at the same time as applianc es
burning gas or other fuels.
●There is a fire risk if cleaning is not
carried out in acc ordance with the
instructions
Regulations conc erning the discharge

of air have to be f ulfilled.
●
Clean your appli ance periodically by
following th e m ethod given in the
chapter MAINTENANCE.
For safety reason, please use only the
●
same size of fixing or mounting s c r ew
which are reco m m ended in this
instruction manu al.
Regarding the det ails about t he
●
method and frequency of cleaning,
please refer t o m aintenance and
cleaning sec tion in the instr uc tion
manual.
●
Cleaning and user m aintenance shall
not be made by children without
supervision.
When the cooker hood and
●
appliances supplied with e nergy other
than electric ity are simult aneously in
operation, t he negative press ure in the
room must not exc eed 4 Pa (4 x 10-5
bar).
