9.1 Zero a dju stm ent
Zero adjustme nt f or 'Fe' and 'NFe'
should be ca rri ed out separatel y. Take
the iron subs tra te if 'Fe ' on Display,
while take the alum inium sub strate if
'NFe' on the Display. Place the pro be
(3-1) on the substrate steadily. P ress
the zer o ke y (3 -3) and '0' wi ll be on
the Disp lay bef ore lifting the prob e.
If pr ess ing the Z ERO key b ut the
probe is not place d on the sub str ate or
an u nco at ed s ta ndar d. T he z er o
adjust men t is in valid.
10.4 If the instrument is not to be used for
any extended period , remove batteries.

12. RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS
12.1 Whe n to restore
It is recom men ded to restore f act ory

A. The gauge does not measure any more.
B. Me asu rement a ccu racy is deg rad ed
c a u s e d B y e n v i r o n m e n t a l
condit ion s cha nge greatly.
12.2 How t o res tor e?
9.2 Select an approp riat e c alibration foil
according to your me asur ement range.
9.3 Place the standard foil selected onto
the su bstr ate or the uncoated standard .
9.4 Plac e the sens or (3 -1) mildl y ont o the
standard foil and lift. The readi ng on
the display i s the valu e mea sured. The
dis pl ayed r ea di ng v al ue c an b e
adjusted by pressing the plus key (3-4)
or minus key (3-5 ) w hile the prob e i s
aw ay fr om th e s ubst ra te or the
measured body.
9.5 Re peat step 9.4 until the result is correct.
10 . BATT ERY RE PLA CEMEN T
10.1 When it is necessary to repla ce the
battery, i.e. bat tery vol tage less than
approx. 2.2V , the b attery symbol ' '
will appear on the Display.

value of L n are a s fol low:
A. Read ing at low en d ca n be adjuste d to
the e xac t value by the plus or min us
key.
B. To en large the L n if readi ng at l ow en d
(e.g at 51 um) is ok but reading at
high e nd (e.g at 432 u m) is t oo larg e.
On the coutrary, to decrea se t he L n if
readin g at l ow end (e .g at 51 um)is ok
but read ing a t hig h end ( e.g at 432
um) is too s mal l.
