TOP GUN TECHNOLOGY A MAGNUM RADIO EXCLUSIVE
The S-3 is the only radio in it's class to offer a continuously
variable RF POWER control. This varies the carrier level from a
little less than 1 watt to 10 watts. This feature is usually found
only in high end radios like the S-9. On other brand radios this
feature has a minimal affect, but on the "S" series MAGNUMS it
has a profound affect! When coupled with the TOP GUN
COMPRESSOR and MODULATOR circuits the operator can set
the carrier as low as 1 watt and the transmitter will produce it's
full rated peak output of 40 or more watts without adding the
"distortions" and "band splatter" usually associated with other
aftermarket products. The audio is crystal clear and loud, exactly
what your customers want in a "BIG RADIO". The compressor
circuit tailors and shapes the transmitted audio signal to punch
through that heavy traffic usually found in most urban areas. The
modulator adds that extra muscle required to drive the transmitter
to maximum peak levels under all operating conditions without
added distortions. A peak to average ratio of 40 to 1 sounds like
you just turned on an afterburner. It can be the difference
between being heard and not being heard!
