Please read all safety and operating instructions before operating this product.
Slots and openings in the case are provided for ventilation to ensure reliable operation of the product, and to protect the product from overheating. These openings must not be blocked or covered. Do not place this product on a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface, that could block the ventilation openings. This product should never be placed near or on an apparatus that produces heat, such as a radiator. This product should not be placed in a built-in enclosure, such as a bookcase or rack, unless proper ventilation is provided or the manufacturer’s instructions have been adhered to.
This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the rating label (located on the rear of this product). If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your local electrician or power supply company.
This product is equipped with a polarized alternating ­current line plug (a plug having one blade wider than the other). This plug will fit into the power outlet in only one direction. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try revering the plug. If the plug still fails to fit, contact your local electrician for replacement of your obsolete outlet. To prevent electric shock, do not use this polarized plug with an extension cord, receptacle, or other outlet, unless the blades can be fully inserted without blade exposure. If you require the use of an extension cord, ensure the extension cord is polarized.
The power supply cord should be routed so that it is not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against it. Pay particular attention to cords at plugs and the point where they exit from the unit. The mains plug is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
For added protection for this unit during lightning storms, or when it is left unattended or unused for long periods of time; it is recommended that you unplug this unit from the wall outlet. This will prevent damage to this product due to lightning and power line surges.
Keep your fingers clear of the disc tray as it is closing. Serious injury may result if fingers are caught in the disc tray.
Please retain all safety and operating instructions for future reference.
All warnings on the unit and in the operating instructions should be adhered to.
Unplug this unit from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use only a damp cloth to clean this unit.
Do not use this product near water. For example: near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool.
Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table. This product may fall over, causing damage as well as serious injury. Use this product only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table recommended by the manufacturer. A product and cart combination should be moved with care. Quick stops, excessive force, and uneven surfaces may cause the product and cart combination to overturn.

Do not overload wall outlets or extension cords, as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
Upon completion of any service or repairs to this product, ask the service professional to perform safety checks recommended by the manufacturer, to determine that the product is in safe operation.
This product should be mounted to a wall or ceiling only as recommended by the manufacturer.
This product should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other products, such as radiators or amplifiers, that produce heat.
The power cord is used as the disconnect device. It shall remain readily operable, and should not be obstructed during intended use. To completely disconnect this product from the power source, the power cord of this product should be completely disconnected from the power outlet.
When replacement parts are required, have the service professional verify that the replacements he/she used have the dame safety characteristics as the original parts. Use of replacement parts specified by the manufacturer can prevent fire, electric shock, or other hazards.
Never press objects of any kind into this product through openings, as they may touch dangerous voltage points or “short-out” parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on this product.

Do not use a cracked, deformed, or repaired disc. These discs are easily broken and may cause serious personal injury and product malfunction.

Under the following conditions, unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer all servicing to a qualified service professional. A. When the power supply cord or plug is damaged. B. If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into
the product.
C. If the product does not operate normally by following
the operating instructions. Adjust only those controls and settings that are covered by the operating instructions. Improper adjustments of other controls or settings may result in damage and will often require extensive work by a qualified service professional to restore the product to its original operation.
E. If the product has been dropped or the cabinet has

The images or music on a DVD are often divided into sections: Disc, Title, and Chapter. When playing a DVD, the movie is the title. When play a CD, the combined tracks make up the Disc.

SCENE
Chapters are comprised of one video stream that has been divided into multiple sections. For easy search, chapters are often labelled as numbers. However, some DVD Video manufacturers label chapters as text instead.
On a CD, each track has a number to enable search functions.
The menu pictures, motion and motionless pictures on a DVD can be divided into sections, these sections are scenes. Each scene has a number for searching.
REGION MANAGEMENT INFORMATION
This unit is designed and manufactured to respond to the Region Management information that is recorded on a DVD disc. The Region Number of this player is “1". If the Region Number described on the DVD disc does not correspond to the Region Number of this player, the player will not play the disc. This player will only play DVD discs made for Region 1. Therefore, this player will play DVD discs marked with labels containing the Region Number “1".

- Before operation, check if the voltage of this product is in line with the voltage of the wall outlet.
- Hold the plug to disconnect it from the mains outlet. Do not pull the power cord.
- When the plug of this product is connected to the mains outlet, this product will still be connected to power even though it is tuned OFF.
- Disconnect the plug as soon as liquid or objects enter this product. Discontinue use of this product until it has been tested and verified by a qualified service professional.
- Do not open the cabinet as laser beams employed by this product may damage eyes. Any servicing should be conducted by a qualified service professional.
- Put this product where ventilation is good enough to prevent overheating.
- Never put this product in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
- Put this product horizontally, and never place heavy objects on this product.
- To protect the pickup, do not put this product where there is dust. If there is dust on the pickup, use a cleaning disc to clean it. Pay particular attention to the operation instructions of the cleaning disc.
Moisture will appear on the pickup lens if the following occur:
- This product is suddenly moved from a cold place to a warm place.
- This product is put in a room with a heater, or in cold air from an air conditioner.
- Using this product in a humid place. In these cases, this product can not work. Unload the disc and leave the unit OFF for about an hour, so that the moisture has time to evaporate.
- To keep the disc clean, do not touch the playing surface of the disc.
- Do not attach paper or tape to the disc.
- Keep the disc away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
- Store the disc in a disc case after use.
Use a soft cloth with a little neutral detergent to wipe the cabinet, panel and controls. Never use
abrasive paper, polishing powder, solvent like alcohol or gasoline to clean this product.
- Before playing the disc, wipe the disc’s playing surface from the inside to outside clean, with a clean cloth.
- Do not use any type of solvent such as thinner, benzine, commercially available cleaners or antistatic spray to clean the disc’s playing surface.

REMOTE CONTROL USE
1. Open the battery compartment
2. Insert 2 x ‘AAA’ batteries, ensuring that the “+” and “-” polarities of the batteries match the diagram inside the battery compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment.
When using the remote control, ensure that the remote is pointed directly at the remote sensor on the front of the player. Also, ensure that there are no objects or obstacles that are obstructing the path between the remote control and remote sensor on the front of the player.
1. Generally, batteries last for approximately 6 months (depending on use). If the remote control is not functioning properly, try changing the batteries. When replacing the batteries, never mix old and new batteries together.
2. If the remote control will not be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent battery leakage.
