Cut Lines
6.4" Headrest Viewing Screen Installation and Operations Manual
Step 1
Using the template provided and a pencil, scribe a mark on the headrest in the 4 corners of the template. Remove the template and use a straight edge or ruler to mark lines diagonally from corner to corner to form an "X". Use a sharp box knife or other sharp device to cut along the "X" lines.
Step 4
Pull the cable through the hole in the screen housing and place the housing into the headrest. Secure the housing using your choice of screws or bolts (not supplied). The housing should be stable enough to resist vibration and should not rattle.
Step 2
Fold back the cut material and remove the foam in the headrest as needed to achieve the desired mounting depth. Note: The mounting depth can be adjusted by removing more foam and cutting the sides of the mount to allow it to set into the headrest farther.
Step 5
Connect the cable from the headrest to the screen and snap the screen into place. Note: It is suggested to test the screen for function before snapping it into the mount. This will prevent any damage that may be caused by repeated removal of the screen.
Step 3
With the foam padding removed, insert a piece of wood, metal or plastic (not supplied) as a backing to attach the screen mount to. Pressure fit the material so that the foam will hold it into place. Feed the connection cable up the back of the seat and through the base of the headrest. Fold the pieces of the "X" cut headrest material into the hole created in the foam and trim as necessary
To Remove the Screen
Slide the "C" shaped key between the screen mount and the screen casing at the point of the clips. Apply pressure to the screen with the "C" shaped key to release the screen from the clips.

*Note Regarding Blue Wire: It is strongly suggested that a typical car stereo-type power line filter that has a capacitor (3 wire type) be connected to the Blue Wire to absorb any power spikes that may be present on this connection. Power spikes on the Blue Wire can damage the screen. Also add a power fuse to the Blue Wire (3 amp).
Note: Many external IR ports provide a power connection for the IR. However, this is not necessary for the MovieVision IR system. The power for the IR eye is supplied by an internal power supply. If the external IR port that you are connecting to has 3 wires, DO NOT USE the 5-volt power wire supplied. Use ONLY the Data Wire and the Ground Wire.
