Overview

The MVII-DVI-Tx is a video Transmitter that is compatible with the MVII-DVI­Rx-1k receiver, plus the entire MultiView™ family of distribution and switching
products including the Mondo-III matrix switch. Capable of extending a video
signal up to 2000 feet* over standard twisted-pair F/UTP type cable. There
are user-configurable settings for video, audio, and serial options which can
be controlled from the front panel.

MultiView DVI’s most exciting feature is its full backwards compatibility
with Magenta’s best-in-class UTP-based crosspoint switch, the Mondo

Matrix. Combining MultiView DVI with a Mondo Matrix provides
integrators with the ability to implement digital video when utilizing one
of the largest switches in the world, as the Mondo is configurable in
increments of 16 inputs and outputs, from 16x16 all the way to 256x512.

Compatible receivers

The MVII-DVI-Tx Transmitter is designed to work
with all ana log MultiView receivers and the new
DVI RX.

Link Cable Required

4 twisted-pair F/UTP type cable is recommended for
performance and EMC compliance. Regular or minimized­skew type is acceptable.

Supported Video Formats

VESA and CEA video formats from 640x480 to
1920x1080, output on a digital DVI-D connector.

Audio Signals

(A) mode: Line-level, summed L+R, analog audio.
(S/PDIF) mode: Supports copper S/PDIF digital-audio.
HDMI Audio is supported
Note:
HDMI audio can be embedded or de-embedded at the TX
or RX.

Serial Characteristics

(S) mode: Simplex serial, up to 115.2K. Protocol­transparent.
(SAP) model only: Duplex serial, 9 configurable baud rates
are supported. Protocol-transparent, but also support
serial-configuration mode.
