Quick Setup

1. Download “e Smart Home” Application from the App Store (iPhone) / Google Play (Android)
2. Make sure your mobile device is connected to your home network.
Open the e Smart Home” application. You may create an account, login, or skip for now.
3. Plug in the Smart Controller. The blue light should begin to flash rapidly. If the light is not flashing rapidly, push
in and hold reset button on Smart Controller until the blue light flashes rapidly.

4. Click “Add a device” on the e-smarthome app. Select V2 device. Enter the name and password for your Wi-Fi
Network, then click Configure.
5. After about 30 seconds, you will see a page letting you know that the device has been successfully configured.

6. Swipe in from the right side of the screen to access the device list. Press and hold until the menu appears.
You can now edit the name of the Smart Controller (device), its icon, or delete it. Press Save to exit.
7. Before proceeding, update the firmware of the Smart Controller. While on Control screen tap on the menu icon,
select settings, select Check new version.

8. Now it is time to pair the smart controller with your motors/receivers.
Click on the ‘+’ Button and then
choose Add Remote
Click in the box to
“Search Cloud Remote Panel”
Type “MaestroShield” and you will
be presented with several choices
Each selection is a virtual handheld
remote with unique codes (A,B,C)
See below for programming
“Channel 1”
Switch to the channel on your existing
handheld remote that you would like
to copy to the app.
Press and hold the stop button until the motor or receiver jogs or beeps.
Then push the corresponding “Up”
button on your smartphone to
complete programming.
The motor will jog or beep again to
confirm successful programming
*To add this remote to another smartphone, follow the above 3 steps to download the same remote from the cloud.
*Note: (For more than 6 channels) If
you have already programmed an “A”
remote, make sure you use a different remote (B,C..)
*Press and hold a button to “Edit” the name or icon
*Press on the button in the top right then click “Edit Template Info” to rename the remote or picture
**To further customize your remote (rearranging buttons/removing channels) review the steps below.

9. To Create a custom remote control, click add Remote, then choose your preferred control.
(We suggest using the User Defined then sort in random option)
10. Adding Buttons to the Remote
Click on “Sort-Add” to put a new
button on the remote
Click To Change the Button’s Icon
Choose from the preloaded set of icons, or
choose from your photo library

Change the Name of the Icon
Or leave blank
Drag Icon to the Desired Location
Click [+] to add more buttons.
Click Save to Exit
11. Programming the buttons
Press and hold the button you would
like to program.
Select “learn single” from the menu.
The Smart Controller is now in
learning mode
While in learning mode, press the
button on the handheld remote that
you would like the smart controller to
learn

Click “Test” to ensure that the button is functioning properly
Confirm that the button is working
properly
After successfully programming,
repeat this procedure for the other
buttons
Note: Ensure the button to be tested is not already activated. Use existing remote to stop function if necessary.
12. Creating a Scene: A scene allows you to set up a “one-click” button that performs a series of commands. In this
example, we will create a scene for: sunset. This will roll up our pool and patio shades, then turn on the lighting.
On the Main Screen
click on the ”+” button,
then select “Add Scene”
You can now begin to create and
customize your scene.
Click the “+” Button to begin
Click on one of your previously created
controls. In this example, let’s start with
our “Pool” control

Click on the button that you would like
to use for this scene.
Describe what the button does then
click “OK” to add it to the scene.
“Pool Screen Up”
has now been added to the scene.
You can now give the scene a name
Repeat previous steps to add another
command. You will see a time interval
between each command. The circled
area dictates the designated time
If you click on that area, you will be
prompted with a screen where you can
change the interval
If you would like to change the picture for the scene, click on the image in the top left, and choose one of the options

As shown below: This scene will roll up the pool screen, wait 2 seconds, roll up the patio screen, wait 16 seconds, then
turn on the lights
On the main page, you will see that your scene has been added. Simply click on it to execute the commands that you
programmed
If you ever need to edit, copy or delete
the scene…press and hold the scene
Troubleshooting
If a button command requires multiple pushes for the command to be executed, use the “learn combo” button to add 2 to 3 repeat commands of the same button.
