Macromatic has obsoleted the PCP2 produc t and replaced it wit h the PCPU, which works on any line-li ne voltage from 190-500V. The PCPU fu nctions t he
same as the obsolete PCP2 and c an be used in plac e of i t with out any special setup . This change is effect ive on product s manufact ured with D ate Code of
14 15 or l ater (2 nd w eek of Ap ril 20 14) . For m ore in form at ion, pl ease c ont act Mac rom ati c.
Installation, Wiring & Setup
1. Mount the appropr iate 8 pin octal s ocket in a su itable enclosur e. NOT E: a 600V-rated s ocket such as the M acr o-
matic 70 169-D or Cus tom Co nnecto r OT08 -PC must be used with these pr oducts on appli cations grea ter th an
300V. When making conn ection s to t he soc ket, make su re to match the termi nal nu mbers on the socke t t o the
ones shown on the wirin g diagram (t he wiring di agram on t he rel ay is the view loo king towa rds the b ottom of
the r elay v s. th e top of the s ocket) . U se one or two #12-22 solid or str anded copper or copper-cl ad aluminum
conduct ors with terminals on the above Macromatic or Custom Connect or sockets—a termin al ti ghtening torque of 12
in-lbs s hould be used.
2. Connect the three-ph ase line-line voltage to terminals 3, 4 and 5 (s ee W iring Diagram on the side of t he relay or at
right). A connection to the neutral or g round is not requi red in W ye syst ems. DO N OT c onnect output wir es to
terminals 1, 2 and 8 until later (Step 5).
3. Plug the th ree-phase monitor relay into the socket, m aking sure the key on the center post is in the proper orientation before ins ertion. If the
relay must be rem oved f rom the s ocket, do NOT r ock th e rela y back and f ort h excessi vel y—t he cen ter po st cou ld be damage d.

ensure t he phase sequen ce (rotatio n) is cor rect.
5. Connect the outpu t terminals to termin als 1, 2 & 8 . W hen all
connec tions are made, apply three-phas e li ne-line voltage.
Troubleshooting
If th e LED is solid Red, a phase revers al (out-of-sequence) c ondition
