Congratulations to the purchase of your MACES7C-300-90-00!
1.1 ABOUT THIS MANUAL
This manual serves as reference material for authorized service technicians and people who set up the machine. It is supposed to help them transport, install, set up, programming, maintain and repair the machine safely.
Please refer to the individual chapters about service, use and rotating cleaning works. The following notes describe different kinds of danger zones:

1.2 IMPORTANT SAFTY ADVICE
1) Read this manual carefully before use!
2) Only connect the machine with mains if it corresponds with the voltage on the type badge of your machine. Never store or use the machine near heat or gas sources!
3) The machine must be disconnected before cleaning or maintenance works!
4) Protect the machine from splash water!
5) Never pull the cable for unplugging!
6) Never put the machine or the cable into water!

7) The machine is designed for the use of drinking water with a water hardness of 8° dH maximum. A filter must be used if the hardness is higher.
8) When putting up the machine, make sure it stands on stable and firm ground and keep it out of reach of small children!
9) If the machine or the cable is damaged or no longer functioning perfectly, the machine may no longer be used. In that case, please contact your nearest store or MACAS Service centre straight away!
10) Please note the maintenance advice and intervals!
11) Protect the machine from weather effects (like moisture, heat, etc.)!
12) Never use the machine outside!
13) Maintenance, cleaning and repair works other than specifically addressed to the user may only be performed by trained service personnel from MACAS!
14) For your own safety, and to ensure a long life for your machine, you are advised to only use the original MACAS spare parts!
1.3 WEAR PARTS
Please note that this machine contains parts that underlie technically caused wear depending on use, even if properly cleaned and maintained. This applies primarily to mechanical parts and parts that are part of the hot water circuit, e.g. hoses, seals, outlets and the like. Defects caused by wearing are no subject to warranty! Defects and malfunctioning must be resolved by service technicians trained by the manufacturer. Please contact your specialty retailer or the MACAS Service Centre.
1.4 PACKAGING MATERIAL DISPOSAL
The packaging material consists of the following material: Cardboard, corrugated cardboard, treated wood, polystyrene-elements and plastic foil. After installation, ask the client to check with the local communal cleaning service for possibilities to re-cycle or to dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally friendly way.
1.5 MACHINE OUT OF ORDER
Machines out of order can not be returned. The machines must be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way. For that reason, the plastic parts are clearly labeled. The badge(s) in the machine and the belonging parts must be disposed of as electronic waste. This machine underlies the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE/EU directive) and must not be disposed of in the domestic waste.

2.2 MACHINE CONFIGURATIONS

Danger of damage through transport! In order to avoid damage:
Always transport the machine upright.  Do not stack several machines on top of each other.  Do not put any other objects onto the machine.  Make sure the machine is protected against slipping and falling during transport.

3 TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
3.1 TRANSPORT
The machine is wrapped with plastic bag to protect it from damage, moisture and dirt. For assertion of any claims, it must be checked for any damage or loss immediately on receipt and the carrier has to sign it on the consignment note. MACAS is not liable for any damage or loss detected at a later stage.
3.2 STORAGE AND TRANSPORT ENVIRONMENT

In order to avoid this kind of damage
Only run the machine at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C  Only run the machine at humidity between 10% and 90%.  Always store the machine in a dry and dust free environment, the temperature should be in range of
0°C to 40°C.
Caution:
Danger of scalding Before disconnect the pipe to empty boiler, the water in boiler must be cooled to avoid hot water scalding
and splashing.
3.3 SWITCH OFF THE MACHINE
If the location changes or the machine is out of use for a prolonged period of time, the air break, water tank and boiler must be emptied. This will prevent the water tank and boiler from leaking or freezing.
Before disconnect the pipe to empty boiler, the water in boiler must be cooled to avoid hot water scalding and splashing. Important!! Please refer the instruction to empty boiler, water tank and air break on Page 50.
4 MACHINE DESCRIPTION
4.1 POSITIONING OF THE VENDING MACHINE
The machine is not suitable for outside installations, it needs to be installed inside dry premises, with temperature between 5°C and 35°C and it cannot be installed in environments in which jets of water are used for cleaning.
The machine shall be positioned next to a wall and in such a way that the back of it is at a minimum distance of 6 cm from the wall in order to allow regular ventilation.
The machine shall not be covered with cloths or similar. The machine shall be positioned so that the maximum inclination does not exceed 2°. If needed, level it out using the appropriate adjustable feet provided with the machine.
4.2 PAYMENT SYSTEM
The machine is supplied with electrical arrangement for systems with protocol Executive, BDV, MDB and for monitoring 24 VDC validators. Apart from the coin mechanism housing, there is space for the optional installation of the most common payment systems.

4.3 DRINKS SALES PRICE
A different price can be programmed for each selection; the standard setting foresees the same sales price for all selections.
The NS1000 drinks machines have been designed for the commercial dispensation of hot drinks. The compact built allows the machine to be set up in offices, manufacturing sites, cafeterias, conference rooms and canteens. It is possible to free-vend products and to use diverse payment systems (coins and cards), making a universal set up possible.
4.4 WATER SUPPLY
Water supply from mains must be with water pressure between 0.5 and 7 Bar. The machine's software is arranged for controlling the water supply from an internal tank (optional kit which can be placed in the bottom cabinet).
Important!! A filter was recommended to use if the water hardness from water main is higher than 8.0.
4.5 DEFENITION OF USER GROUPS
User – customer uses the machine only to obtain products, subject to conditions arranged by the person who runs the machine or has set it up. He does not have access to internal parts of the machine or its programming.
Service technician – trained expert knows the hazards of the machine and who is familiar with the machine's technical equipments. Service technicians are trained and capable to set up the machine and to maintain, repair and program it.
Person who sets up the machine – This person is responsible for the correct setup and maintenance of the machine.
Person who runs the machine – This person is responsible for the correct and regular replenishment and cleaning of the machine.
Replenishing technician – This person is responsible for replenishing and cleaning the machine.

5 INSTALLATION
Attention:
The machine may only be set up and started by trained personnel! The following service instructions must be read entirely before starting this machine.
At delivery, check the machine for any damage from transport and/or hidden damages. If you find so­mething, contact the responsible transport company at once.
Note:
You will receive this machine ready to use. A tube for drinking water supply is not included in the delivery, but you can additionally buy one from MACAS
Note:
The packaging consists of cardboard, corrugated cardboard, untreated wood, EPS-elements and plastic foil. Packaging disposal should be of an environmentally friendly nature.
Steps for first use
Unpack the drinks vending machine.  Put the machine where you want it to be.  Open the door via emergency lock and check machine interior.  Connect the machine with your main electricity supply.  Fill the product containers.  Fill the cup dispenser.  Put on waste cake bin and waste water bin.  Switch on the machine.  Fill the boiler automatically.  Set up the machine according to the customer’s needs.

Important:
Danger of machine malfunction! When choosing the machine location, please note the following guidelines:
1. The machine may only be put up and run in dry, well ventilated rooms. It is usually put up on even ground, so the touch screen and the dispensation of products are at an easily accessible height. Align the machine with a spirit level. You can adjust the machine’s four feet to do this.
2. Please make sure that around the machine, there is enough room for maintenance, cleaning and re-pair works.
3. The distance to the wall at the back may not be less than 60 mm (for ventilation and drinking water supply).
4. Make sure the tube for drinking water supply is not bent.

Only under the condition of electricity can open the machine door!

5.2 PUTTING UP
5.3 OPEN THE MACHINE
After electrify opens the door to the machine and check machine interior for any abnormal
5 minutes after turning on the power supply, 14 inch screen operation bright;
Click operation under the screen to the upper right corner of the 4 in a row, show the password screen, enter
the code, the door will automatically play; Open the door of the original password is 189239, the user can change itself.

Check machine interior for any abnormal.
Important
Health hazards through soiled water supply!
Only use permissible mains with drinking water safe for drinking.  Rinse the drinking water mains thoroughly before connecting it to the machine.
Note:
The allowed water pressure is 0.5 to 7.5 bar. If the pressure is lower than this, you must use a separate water pump.
The water hardness on site may not be more than 8° dH, otherwise a water filter has to be used.
5.4 CONNECT THE MACHINE TO WATER MAINS
Connect the machine with an easily accessible drinking water supply:
Connect the water supply hose with the connection spout. (with G3/8"outer thread).  Make sure the connection is tight.
5.5 FILL THE CONTAINERS
Open the machine door.  Open the product containers.  Close the container outlet and fill in the products.  Open the container outlet.

Important:
The products may only be filled in loosely. Avoid any compression.
Note:
When the machine has been replenished for the first time or has been replenished after being entirely empty (cleaning), a couple of test dispensations must be run to allow the dispenser coils inside the con­tainers to fill up completely with products. Only replenish the machine with suitable products and note their use-by date.
Attention:
Please note that the height of the cup don't beyond a drum!
5.6 FILL & REFILL CUP DISPENSER
Open the machine door.  Fill each of the ten shaft tubes (five per dispensing side) from the top with up to 75 cups.  Take care that cup size should match with cup dispenser.

Important:
The cups may only be filled in loosely, avoid any compression. Less than 25 cups is not allowed for each cup stack while refilling. For paper cups, please don’t refill 75 cups once drop, it will cause the cups’ deform.

Make sure the water full detect pins are be inside water bin
Note:
When the machine is restarted, the heating element will heat the water until the programmed temperature is reached. There is a temperature detection device to control this procedure. The boiler is secured by two safety temperature regulators (STR) and temperature sensor, which will turn off the heater if the temperature gets too high.
5.8 SWITCH ON THE MACHINE
Make sure all of above procedures are correct, and then switch on machine by pressing power on switch. It will take a few minutes for system start and boiler heating up.
5.9 FILL THE BOILER
The machine will start to fill boiler automatically when the system start working. Remark: If the boiler refill error, switch off the machine then switch on the machine after 3 seconds, the
system will refill the boiler again.
5.10 MACHINE SETTING UP
There are 5 items those need to be setup.
1. Set the grinder
2. Calibrate the container
3. Set the drink recipe
4. Set GUI language

5.10.1 Calibrate the grinder
Note:
Adjust the grinder before, please prepare (low value) electronic scale!
Screw the adjusting nut in a clockwise direction to ensure that the
nut is not loosened.
Put in coffee beans.  To enter the grinder machine debugging interface, reset the brewing
chamber,open the grinder.
Take the coffee powder, observe the thickness of the coffee powder,
counter clockwise rotation of the nut, adjust the thickness of the coffee powder.
After the completion of the return to the interface, click the
"calibration" icon, then take the coffee powder weight10-12g, input.
Switch the grinder off.

5.10.2 Calibrate the container
Calibration allows you to adjust the JL500 machine to the composition of the used ingredients and the used containers. For the calibration process, you need a scale and a vessel.

Danger of wrong dosage! Before each calibration, a 3 times test-dosage must be performed to make sure the dispenser coils are
filled. Calibration must be performed for each container.
Note:
When changing a container, motor or product, you must always calibrate again as every new component has different weight and dispensation characteristics.

Note:
After confirming the ingredient dispensation, you have 3 seconds to hold the vessel underneath the dis­pensation opening of the container.
Note:
Demount the component underneath the container you wish to calibrate (brewing unit or mixer) and dissemble it. Have a vessel ready to catch the ingredient amount and to weigh it. Have a suitable scale (with tenth-grams-Display 00.0) ready and zero it with the empty vessel.
Pressing “Start” button, machine will dispense ingredients for 3 times.
Weigh the dispensed ingredients and input the weight to machine via the touch panel.  Test dosage is required to verify the calibration. The weight should be almost same (+/-0.2 g) as
desired weight. If not, repeat from previous step

Customer can use own cup or use a cup from machine. If use a own cup, place the cup on mug cup table before choose a product If use a pot, push the mug cup table to the right or left.

6 USE THE MACHINE (END USER)
6.1 Get the drink from machine
In the customer interface  Do the payment (no needed if free vend mode)  Select a product on UI  Adjusting the taste by moving the level(0-5)of ingredients if possible, then press confirm button to start.

7 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Thorough cleaning and maintenance are basic requirements for perfectly hygienic drinks dispensation. Only if the drinks machines are carefully looked after and the cleaning and maintenance intervals are kept, can they function flawlessly and provide superior drinks quality and an ultimately satisfied customer. Always remember: Only a well looked-after machine can function perfectly! When designing these series, the company MACAS has considered all vital criteria to enable the person who runs the machine to thoroughly clean and maintain it with as little time and cost as possible. The service of the automatic cleaning program is one of these advantages.

Attention:
If the cleaning temperatures are too high, they can damage plastic parts! When plastic machine parts are cleaned in the dishwasher, too high cleaning temperatures can cause damage. The cleaning temperature may not exceed 65 °C! Designer parts made of aluminum must not be cleaned in the dishwasher!
Danger!
Danger of electric shock! Always turn off the machine and pull the plug before performing any maintenance- and repairing works on
it!
Caution:
Cleaning- and maintenance works not assigned to the client may only be performed by people who have been trained to handle the machine, either by the person who has set up the machine or the one who runs it, and must be familiar with the dangers that can occur when opening the machine!
Caution!
Risk of injury by high water pressure! When cleaning and maintaining the boiler or the pipes, it is vital to proceed in the following order:
Interrupt the drinking water supply.  Dispense hot water until you receive the default message “check inlet” Disconnect the machine from the main network.
Caution!
Danger of scalding! There are hot surfaces inside the machine. Allow the machine to cool down before cleaning and main-
taining it.
Caution!
Danger of crushing! The fresh brewing unit and the espresso brewing unit have parts that can move on their own. Do not put
your hands into the machine while it is still on.

Danger of destruction! The machine must not be hosed down with water or a high pressure cleaner! There is a risk of electric
shock, and internal machine parts can get damaged! Insufficient cleaning and maintenance may lead to early wear or defects of the machine.

7.1 SAFETY REGULATIONS FOR CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Food which has gone bad can make you sick!  The foods offered for sale are perishable. Therefore the following advice has to be considered:  Consider the sell-by date on the product packaging.  Preferably, do not use products with a nearly reached sell-by date.  Only use products suitable for machine use.  Only use the cleaning solutions suggested in the cleaning scheme and note the instructions on the
packaging.
Attention:
Cleaning solutions unsuitable for use with food can make you ill and pose a risk of injury! Only use products suitable for food environments that are approved and recommended by us when cle­aning your machine! Unsuited and not approved cleaning products may lead to early wear or defects of the machine. The manufacturer’s use- and safety-advice must be followed!
Note:
In the cleaning scheme, there are machine parts which are assigned to their construction groups and which need to be cleaned. Other cleaning works which are not related to a specific machine part will be stated separately.
Note:
The interval shown in the table is the minimum frequency. The exact cleaning time depends, amongst other things, from the number of drinks the machine has prepared.

7.2 HYGIENE
Only if you carefully clean and maintain it at the advised intervals and with the suggested methods, can an impeccably hygienic hot drinks quality and optimum functionality of the machine be guaranteed. In order to keep it clean and fully functional, there are three instructed cleaning intervals for drinks vending ma-chines (see “Cleaning works”).

7.6 CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
7.6.1 DOOR OPEN AND CLOSE
OPEN THE DOOR BY RFID CARD
Put on the RFID card in front of the machine around & towards the RFID card receiver position.
Input the password to dialogue will show on the touch panel.
The door will be open automatically. Meanwhile, the small door will be open automatically
CLOSE THE DOOR
When the door is open, please close door and push your hand on the door with force to make sure the sensor is activated, system will close the door automatically.
7.6.2 CLENING THE CONTAINERS

1) Disassembly the ES brewer from brewer driver.
1) Un-plug the connector of the PTC heater
2) Rotate the hook to left a little and push it down to bottom
3) Pull out the brewing unit from the driver

3) Rotate the coffee outlet nipple a little and pull out the nipple together with coffee pipe

1) Dispatch the brewing unit from the brewer driver
2) Unscrew the screw underneath the upper filter

7.6.7.4 DE-SCALE THE BREWER OUTSIDE OF MACHINE
1) Dispatch the brewing unit from the driver (Refer to 5.1)
2) Immerse the brewing unit into liquid with de-scale element
3) After 30 minutes, splash the brewer with clear water
4) Put the brewer to dried place, make sure the brewer dry enough (24 hours is recommended)
Note: The frequency to do purification to brewer is suggested to SEASONLY or after making 6,000 portions coffee.

7.7 MAINTAIN INSTRUCTIONS
7.7.1 HOT WATER SYSTEM
If the hot water system have problems with function, normally it caused by component life duration and scale inside the valves, boilers and fittings.
Disassemble the hot water system from the machine.
1) Unscrew the water system cover.
2) Disconnect the tubes from valve chains
3) Disconnect the tubes from ES brewer
4) Disconnect the DC&AC connectors.
5) Disconnect the tubes from air break
6) Un-screw the screws
7) Pull out whole water system

7.7.2 RESET INLET VALVE
Disconnect overflow tubes and release the water inside tube, then put the tube back to inlet valve. The inlet valve will back to work.

8 PROGRAMMING

8.1 SYSTERM BACKUP
1) Open machine door
2) Plug in USB disk into USB connector behind of touch screen
3) Pressing “Setting” button
4) Pressing “backup” button

5) Choosing the mode and Pressing “backup” to start.
6) Quick mode: only backup configuration files (recommended)
7) All mode: all files.
8) Pull out the USB disk when system prompt.
8.2 SYSTERM RESTORE
1) make backup from the machine into a USB stick, the *.bak file
2) run Restore.exe in PC(ask MACAS after sales for this program)
3) Use "Load" to open the *.bak file, the configuration of the machine is shown.
4) Edit the configuration.
5) press "Export"
6) choose what configurations to restore/clone
7) select export files' directory
8) press ok will export 3 files: autorun.bat,restore.restore,clone.exe
9) copy exported 3 files to a USB stick
10) Open machine door with RFID card.
11) Plug in the USB disk that contains required files.
12) System will automatically ask you to start. Restore done will automatically restart the vend UI.
8.3 SYSTERM UPDATE
1) Open machine door with RFID card.
2) Plug in the USB disk that contains the software.
3) Wait a while, the system will automatically detect the software and ask you for update.
