Warranty
Macally Peripherals warrants that this product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for period of time specified on the product packaging. This limited warranty shell commence from the date of purchase. Macally Peripherals warranty is not transferable and is limited to the original purchaser. If the product is found to be defective then, as your sole remedy and as the manufacturer's only obligation, Macally Peripherals will repair or replace the product . This warranty shall not apply to products that have been subjected to abuse, misuse, abnormal electrical or environmental conditions, normal wear and tear or any condition other than what can be consid­ered normal use.
Warranty Disclaimers
Macally Peripherals makes no other warranties, expressed or implied, and specifically disclaims any warranty for merchantability or fit­ness for a particular purpose. The exclusion of implied warranties is not permitted in some states and the exclusions specified herein may not apply to you. This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. There may be other rights that you have which vary from state to state.
Limitation of Liability
The liability of Macally Peripherals arising from this warranty and sale shall be limited to a refund of the purchase price. In no event shall Macally Peripherals be liable for costs of procurement of substitute products or services, or for any lost profits, or for any consequential, incidental, direct or indirect damages, however caused and on any theory of liability, arising from this warranty and sale. These limita­tions shall apply not with standing any failure of essential purpose of any limited remedy.

Introducing the Macally USB KeyPoint
Thank you for purchasing Macally's USB KeyPoint. The Macally KeyPoint is one of the most versa­tile multimedia and presentation RF remote control available. It allows you to control your presenta­tion up to 33 feet away. Whether you watch iDVD or listen to your iTune, KeyPoint would be your indispensable companion for home or office.

• Mac OS 9.2, Mac OS 10.1.5, Mac OS 10.2
• Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP
• Any desktop or notebook computer with an available USB port
•Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP CD may required for PC users

SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
For Mac OS 9.2
To install the Macally USB KeyPoint
1. Insert the Macally KeyPoint Driver CD.
2. Open “MacOS 9.2” Folder.
3. Click at Install Keypoint file and the following window will pop up, click “Install” and follow the on screen procedure to install the driver.(Fig 1)

4. Follow the step-by-step on screen procedure to finish software installation
5. Restart the computer after the installation.
For Mac OS X v10.1.5 or Mac OS X v10.2
1. Insert the Macally KeyPoint Driver CD to your computer
2. Open “MacOS X” Folder.
3. Copy “KeypointX_xxxx.pkg.sit” to the Desktop and expand the file.
4. “KeypointX.pkg” icon will show up on the desktop.(Fig 2)

5. Double click the “KeypointX.pkg” icon to install.
6. Follow the step-by-step on screen procedure to finish software installation
7. Restart the computer.
*Note: A KeyPoint Manager file will be created and saved in Applications folder.

For Windows 98SE/ME
“iMPORTANT”
Please install the KeyPoint driver “FIRST” before plug into the computer
1. Insert the Macally KeyPoint Driver CD. Double click on the KeyPointWin_xxx. exe (Fig 3)

2. Macally KeyPoint Setup Wizard will be launched. (Fig 3.1)

3. Follow the step-by-step on screen procedure to finish software installation.
4. Restart the computer.
5. Plug in the Macally KeyPoint Receiver to a available USB port

6. Windows will detect a New Device and may ask for the Windows 98SE/ME CD-ROM (Fig 3.2)

7. Follow the step-by-step on screen procedure to finish windows driver installation.
8. Macally KeyPoint is ready to use now.
For Windows 2000/XP
“iMPORTANT”
Please install the KeyPoint driver “FIRST” before you plug into the computer
1. Insert the Macally KeyPoint Driver CD. Double click on the KeyPointWin_xxx. exe (Fig 4)

2. Macally KeyPoint Setup Wizard is launched. (Fig 4.1)Click “Next” to continue the InstallShield and follow the step-by-step on screen procedure.

3. When the “Alert” windows pop up (Fig 4.2),and ask you to plug the KeyPoint, plug the KeyPoint Receiver to you computer and click “Yes” to continue

4. Follow the step-by-step on screen procedure to finish software installation.
5. Restart the computer and the KeyPoint is ready to use now.

SOFTWARE BASICS Keypoint manager pre-settings.
For your convenience, we added pre-set settings for several commonly used applications. When you launch the applications listed below, KeyPoint will automatically function, you won’t need to go through the programming procedure unless you want to customize the settings.
