Do not remove the plug fr om the power socket by pulling t he cord. The power cord must not touch any hot surface. Do not turn the appliance on if the power cord is damag ed. The cooker hood, if used to extract cooking fumes outsi de, should be connected to an appropriate
ventilation duct (do not c onnect it to flues, smoke or exhaus t ducts which are in us e).
The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for any d amage caused by the installation not conforming
to the operating manual.
Any changes made in th e structure of the hood by unauth orized persons will result in the exclusion
of the liability of the manuf acturer.
If the cooker hood is used simultaneously with devices burn ing gas or other fuels, the room should be
appropriately ventilated (n ot applicable in the case of clos ed circulating system).
Do not use naked flame directl y under the cooker hood, If the non-detachable power c ord is damaged, it should be r eplaced with a special cord a vailable
from the manufacturer or a specializ ed repair shop.
The exhaust air from the hood must not be discharged int o a flue used for discharging exhaust fumes
from appliances burning g as or other fuels (not applic able in the case of closed circul ation system).
Before connecting the c ooker hood to the mains power su pply and checking its c orrect functioning,
always check if the power c ord is properly installed and h as not been pinched by th e hood during
installation.
Before cleaning, unplug the power cord. Cleaning not carried out in acc ordance with the manual c onstitutes a fire hazard. This appliance is not intend ed for use by persons (includi ng children) with reduc ed physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledg e of the appliance, unl ess they are given supervision or instructions according to the operating m anual by persons responsibl e for their safety.
Purpose and operations
The hood is intended for operation in a suction mode, disc harging the fumes outside, or for operation in a filter mode as a closed circ ulation system.
Installation
The minimum distance bet ween the surface on which dishes are placed on the heatin g appliance and 1the lowest part of the cooker hood should be no less than 45cm in the case of electric s toves and no
less than 65cm in the case of gas or dual electric/gas st oves. If the manual of the heatin g appliance recommends a larger distanc e for installation of a cooker hood, you must comply with t hese instructions. Installation of the hood and th e hood’s casing pipe is sh own in Figure S3. When inst alling the hood,
you should observe the gener al regulations on discharging air from the room. You sh ould take into
account the fact that the us e of spiral aluminium pipes red uces the efficiency of the h ood and increases
the noise level of the flowing air.
Electrical connection
The mains voltage must c omply with the conditions sp ecified on the rating plate insid e the hood. If the hood is equipped with a plug it needs to be put into a sock et meeting the requirements of the applicable regulations and located in an easily accessible place. If t he hood is not equipped wit h a plug, the hood should be installed by an auth orized person.
Maintenance
Before proceeding to any mai ntenance operations, unplug the hood from the power su pply. The appliance should be cleaned with sp ecial cleansing agents f or surface made of stainless sheet met al or coated sheet metal. The hood should be cleaned with mild detergents, do not use abrasive cl eaners. Regular maintenance will improve th e operation of the hood.
Caution: DO NOT USE ALCOH OL!!!
Grease filter
The cooker hood is equipp ed with an aluminium filter. T he filter is removed by moving the l ocks in the direction indicated by the arr ow (Fig. S1). The filter should be cleaned manually in the f ollowing manner: immerse it for 15 minutes in water mixed with mild deterg ent at the temperature of 40-50 °C. After 15 minutes, start washing th e filter and rinse it carefully. Th e filter must be completely dry bef ore it is put back in the hood. If the filter is not cleaned regularly, th e performance of the hood d ecreases and the fire risk increases. If wash ed in a dishwasher, the filter may become discoloured, but this does not affect its filtering properti es.
Charcoal filters (Only for closed circulation mode - Fig. S5)
The cooker hood can be equipped with carbon filters. C arbon filters are used only when the hood is NOT connected to a ventilation duct. The filters should be placed on the turbine casing, as sh own in Fig. S5. In this case, the filtered air is discharged back into the room. The hood should not be c onnected to ventilation ducts. In order t o ensure correct operation and efficient filtering of odours , the carbon filters should be replaced regularl y (every 3 to 6 months), dep ending on the intensity of utili zation of the hood.
Lighting replacement (Fig. 2)
Before proceeding to any operations related to lighting r eplacement, unplug the ho od from the power suppl y. If the hood was previousl y on, wait a few minutes and onl y replace the bulb after it c ools down. Caution! Do not touch th e bulbs as long as they are hot.
