1. Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung

Der Wagen darf nur mit einem dafür bestimmten Betriebs­system (Märklin AC, Märklin Delta, Märklin Digital oder
Märklin Systems) eingesetzt werden.

2. Sicherheitshinweise

Lesen Sie die Bedienungsanleitung vor der ersten Inbetrieb­nahme aufmerksam durch.

• Nur Schaltnetzteile und Transformatoren verwenden, die

Ihrer örtlichen Netzspannung entsprechen.

• Der Wagen darf nur aus einer Leistungsquelle versorgt

werden (max. 22V).

• Beachten Sie unbedingt die Sicherheitshinweise in der

Bedienungsanleitung zu Ihrem Betriebssystem.

• ACHTUNG! Nicht geeignet für Kinder unter 3 Jahren. Funk-

tionsbedingte scharfe Kanten und Spitzen. Erstickungsge­fahr wegen abbrech- und verschluckbarer Kleinteile.

• Setzen Sie das Modell keiner direkten Sonneneinstrah­lung, starken Temperaturschwankungen oder hoher
Luftfeuchtigkeit aus.

• Verbaute LED`s entsprechen der Laserklasse 1 nach

Norm EN 60825-1.

2.1 Wichtige Hinweise

• Die Bedienungsanleitung ist Bestandteil des Produktes

und muss deshalb aufbewahrt, sowie bei Weitergabe des
Produktes mitgegeben werden.

• Einbau und Reparaturen dürfen nur durch Erwachsene

durchgeführt werden.

• Für Reparaturen oder Ersatzteile wenden Sie sich bitte an

Ihren Märklin-Fachhändler.

4. Funktionen

• Der Steuerwagen ist mit Dreilicht-Spitzensignal und

rotem Schlusslicht ausgerüstet, die Umschaltung erfolgt
mit der Fahrtrichtung.

• Die Beleuchtung funktioniert mit allen Fahrstromsyste­men im Mittelleiter-Betrieb. Eine Umrüstung auf Zweilei­ter-/Zweischienen-Betrieb ist nicht vorgesehen.

• Die Innenbeleuchtung 73150 oder 2x 73401 kann

nachträglich eingebaut werden. Diese Teile finden Sie
ausschließlich im Märklin Fachhandel.
Beachten Sie, der Einbau weicht von den Anleitungen
der Innenbeleuchtungen 73150 oder 73401 ab. Schleifer
und Massefeder sind bereits eingebaut und bleiben
unverändert. Der Einbau ist ab Seite 28 dargestellt.

Märklin START UP kann mit Märklin H0 oder Märklin Digital
ergänzt und ausgebaut werden. Lassen Sie sich hierzu von
einem Märklin-Fachhändler beraten.

5. Funktionsstörungen

Stirnbeleuchtung funktioniert nicht, prüfen Sie:

• Steht der Wagen mit allen Rädern auf dem Gleis?

• Ist ein Verbindungskabel zur Anlage beschädigt? Beschä-

digtes Kabel austauschen.

7. Entsorgung

Hinweise zum Umweltschutz: Produkte, die mit
dem durchgestrichenen Mülleimer gekennzeich­net sind, dürfen am Ende ihrer Lebensdauer

entsorgt werden, sondern müssen an einem
Sammelpunkt für das Recycling von elektrischen

und elektronischen Geräten abgegeben werden.
Das Symbol auf dem Produkt, der Bedienungsanleitung oder
der Verpackung weist darauf hin. Die Werkstoffe sind gemäß
ihrer Kennzeichnung wiederverwertbar. Mit der Wiederver­wendung, der stofflichen Verwertung oder anderen Formen
der Verwertung von Altgeräten leisten Sie einen wichtigen
Beitrag zum Schutze unserer Umwelt. Bitte erfragen Sie bei

8. Garantie

Über die Ihnen gesetzlich zustehenden, nationalen Gewähr­leistungsrechte hinaus gegenüber Ihrem Märklin-Fachhänd­ler als Vertragspartner gewährt die Firma
Gebr. Märklin & Cie. GmbH Ihnen bei dem Kauf eines
Märklin-Produktes zusätzlich eine Hersteller-Garantie von

24 Monaten ab Kaufdatum zu den nachfolgend aufgeführten
Konditionen. Damit haben Sie unabhängig vom Kaufort die
Möglichkeit, auch direkt bei der Firma Märklin als Hersteller
des Produktes aufgetretene Mängel oder Störungen zu
reklamieren. Die Märklin-Herstellergarantie gilt nur für die
Technik der Modelle. Optische Mängel oder unvollständige
Produkte können im Rahmen der Gewährleistungspflicht
beim Verkäufer der Ware reklamiert werden.

Garantiebedingungen

Diese Garantie gilt für Märklin – Sortimentsprodukte und
Einzelteile, die bei einem Märklin-Fachhändler weltweit
gekauft wurden. Als Kaufnachweis dient entweder die vom
Märklin-Fachhändler komplett ausgefüllte Garantie-Urkunde
oder die Kaufquittung. Daher empfehlen wir unbedingt,
diese Garantie-Urkunde zusammen mit der Kaufquittung
aufzubewahren.

Inhalt der Garantie / Ausschlüsse

Die Garantie umfasst nach Wahl des Herstellers die
kostenlose Beseitigung eventueller Störungen oder den
kostenlosen Ersatz schadhafter Teile, die nachweislich auf
Konstruktions-, Herstellungs- oder Materialfehler beruhen,
inklusive der damit verbundenen Service-Leistungen. Wei­tergehende Ansprüche sind ausgeschlossen.

Die Garantieansprüche erlöschen

• Bei verschleißbedingten Störungen bzw. bei üblicher

Abnutzung von Verschleißteilen.

• Wenn der Einbau bestimmter Elektronikelemente entge­gen der Herstellervorgabe von nicht dafür autorisierten
Personen durchgeführt wurde.

• Bei Verwendung in einem anderen als vom Hersteller

bestimmten Einsatzzweck.

• Wenn die in der Bedienungsanleitung aufgeführten Hin­weise des Herstellers nicht befolgt wurden.

• Jegliche Ansprüche aus Garantie, Gewährleistung oder

Schadensersatz sind ausgeschlossen, wenn in Märklin­Produkte Fremdteile eingebaut werden, die nicht von
Märklin freigegeben sind und hierdurch die Mängel bzw.
Schäden verursacht wurden. Entsprechendes gilt für
Umbauten, die weder von Märklin noch von Werkstätten,
die von Märklin autorisiert sind, durchgeführt werden.
Grundsätzlich gilt zugunsten von Märklin die wider­legbare Vermutung, dass Ursache für die Mängel bzw.
Schäden die vorgenannten Fremdteile bzw. Umbauten
sind.

Die Garantiefrist verlängert sich durch Instandsetzung oder
Ersatzlieferung nicht. Die Garantieansprüche können ent­weder direkt bei dem Verkäufer oder durch Einsenden des
reklamierten Teils zusammen mit der Garantie-Urkunde oder
der Kaufquittung und einem Mängelbericht direkt an die
Firma Märklin gestellt werden. Unfrei eingesandte Garantie­Reklamationen können nicht angenommen werden.

1. Using the Product as Intended

This car may only be used with an operating system (Märklin
AC, Märklin Delta, Märklin Digital or Märklin Systems)
designed for it.

2. Safety Notes

Make sure you read the following safety notes before using
this Märklin product for the first time.

• Use only switched mode power supply units and transfor­mers that are designed for your local power system.

• This car must never be supplied with power from more

than one power pack (max. 22V).

• Pay close attention to the safety notes in the instructions

for your operating system.

• WARNING! Not suitable for children under 3 years. Sharp
edges and points required for operation. Danger of choking
due to detachable small parts that may be swallowed.

• Do not expose the model to direct sunlight, extreme

changes in temperature, or high humidity.

• The LEDs in this item correspond to Laser Class 1 accor­ding to Standard EN 60825-1.

2.1 Important Notes

• The operating instructions are a component part of the

product and must therefore be kept in a safe place as
well as included with the product, if the latter is given to
someone else.

• Installation and repairs should only be done by adults.

• Please see your authorized Märklin dealer for repairs or

spare parts.

4. Functions

• The cab control car is equipped with triple headlights and

a red marker light that changes over with the direction of
travel.

• This lighting functions will all track power systems using

3-rail operation. It is not intended for conversion to 2-rail
operation.

• The 73150 interior lighting kit or 2 each of the 73401 interi­or lighting kit can be installed in this car. These parts are
available exclusively at your authorized Märklin specialty
dealer.
Please note, the installation deviates from the instruc­tions for the 73150 or 73401 interior lighting kits. The
pickup shoe and the ground spring are already installed
and remain unchanged. The installation for this car starts
on page 28.

Märklin START UP can be added to and expanded with
Märklin H0 or Märklin Digital. See your authorized Märklin
dealer for advice.

5. Trouble Running

Headlights / marker lights do not work. Check the following:

• Are all the wheels for the car sitting on the rails properly?

• Is a connecting wire to the layout damaged? Replace the

damaged wire.

7. Disposing

Products marked with a trash container with a
line through it may not be disposed of at the
end of their useful life in the normal household
trash. They must be taken to a collection point
for the recycling of electrical and electronic
devices. There is a symbol on the product, the

operating instructions, or the packaging to this
effect. The materials in these items can be used again
according to this marking. By reusing old devices, materially
recycling, or recycling in some other form of old devices
such as these you make an important contribution to the

8. Warranty

Upon purchase of a Märklin product the firm of Gebr. Märklin
& Cie. GmbH gives you a manufacturer’s warranty of 24
months from the date of purchase in addition to and beyond
the warranty performance rights available to you legally in
your country vis-à-vis your authorized Märklin dealer as the

contractual selling party. This warranty is given with the
following conditions listed below. Regardless of where you
purchased the product, you thereby have the possi bility of
submitting for warranty claim defects or flaws occurring with
the product directly to the firm of Märklin as the manufac­turer of the product. The Märklin manufacturer‘s warranty
only applies to the technology on the models. Visual defects
or incomplete products can be claimed under warranty from
the seller of the products as part of the warranty perfor­mance obligation.

Warranty Conditions

This warranty applies to Märklin assortment products and
spare parts that have been purchased from any of our
worldwide authorized Märklin dealers. The warranty card
filled out by the authorized Märklin dealer or the sales
receipt will serve as proof of purchase. We therefore
recommend that you keep this warranty card along with the
sales receipt in a safe place.

Warranty Coverage / Exclusions

This warranty includes, at the discretion of the manuf­acturer, correction free of charge of any defects or the
replacement free of charge of damaged parts that are due
to defects in design, production or material inclusive of the
service performance connected with these defects. Any
further claims are excluded.

Warranty claims become null and void

• When the defect is caused by wear and tear or by normal

wear of parts subject to wear and tear.

• When the installation of specic electronic elements

has been carried out by parties not authorized by the

manufacturer for such installation.

• When the product has been used in a manner not inten-

ded by the manufacturer.

• When the information in the operating instructions provi-

ded by the manufacturer has not been followed.

• Any and all claims arising from warranty, guaranty, or

replacement due to damage are excluded if non-Märklin
parts have been installed in Märklin products, and if
these non-Märklin parts are not permitted by Märklin and
if the damage or defect has been caused by these parts.
The same applies to conversions that have not been car­ried out by Märklin or by service stations authorized by
Märklin. Basically, the applicable disputable presumption
in favor of Märklin is that the aforementioned non-Mär­klin parts and/or conversions are the cause of the defects
or damages.

Repair or replacement of a product does not extend its
warranty period. Warranty claims can be submitted directly
to the seller, or the part to be submitted for warranty can be
sent directly to the firm of Märklin along with the warranty
card or the sales receipt and a summary of the problem(s)
with the product. Warranty claims sent in with postage or
shipping charges due cannot be accepted.
