The MC-300 series has been specifically desi gn to address the needs
of network systems employing single and multi-mode fiber cable
environments.
These converters offer high speed transparent conversion between
single m ode cable segments and multi-m ode fiber segments.
Added flexibility is available with ST and SC connectors. In
addition, we also offer single to single and multi to multi-mode
converters.

Today's networks utilizes a variety of fiber cables to meet the demands of bandwidth and cable distance. The MC-300 series specifically
addresses these needs by transparently converting multi-mode fiber into single mode fiber cable in one small high performance device.
Now, the network designer can accommodate different fiber cables to suit specific requirements while still being able to transcend the
physical differences in cable specifications.
The MC-300 series can accommodate FDDI and Fast Ethernet without any drop in performance. They can handle any protocol between
100Mbps and 155Mbps. A single to single mode and m ulti to multi-mode version is a vailable for increased cable distances.
Expands the Size of an Existing Network - provides fiber connectivity to Fast Ethernet segments which allows for even further
networking expansion between extended workgroups. It offers building to building connectivity without the need to employ expensive
and MIS inte nsive routers.
Enhances the Distance between Networking Devices - connecting the MC-300 series to fiber segments can further extend distances of
up to 120km with long haul single mode fiber connector between networking nodes. This can be achieved by a direct connection between
the conve rter and a fibe r based networking device.
Cablin g F l ex ib il ity - the MC-300 allows you to install fiber cabling anywhere within a Fast Ethernet network topology without having
to replace the existing copper-based. Its compact modular design facilitates deployment equally well in a narrow desktop location,
wall-mount, or as a multi-unit configuration based on the MC-1600C-12 12-slot standard 19" rack-mount chassis or MC-1600C 4-slot
rack-mount chassis. Plus, connecting the MC-300SC-MM/SM media converters to a fiber segment extends distances of up to 80,000
meters between networking nodes.
