Wired Remote Controller

HS-80R

Welcome to use the central audio system. For better
use of this equipment, please read this manual
thoroughly before use.

Functional Characteristics:

 Wired remote controller for family audio

control center, quick and convenient.

 Touch key operation, deluxe appearance and

vivid LCD display.

 Provided with the basic operating functions of

the host, including: audio source selection,
volume / tone control, query of MP3 playlist
and query of radio storage number from tuner,
etc.

 One wired remote controller can control one

subzone by setting the address.

 Able to control the external DVD and TV by

means of infrared learning functions of the
host.

 Accept the control from infrared remote

controller.

 Controllable distance up to 300m.

II. Turn On/Off Remote Controller

1. Turn on Remote Controller

 Switch on the power of the host and open the

related subzone from the host, so that this
remote controller is turned on. After that, the
main interface is
displayed on the
screen.

 When the host has

been switched on,
you may press
any audio source
key from the
remote controller
to turn on this
remote controller.
In this case, the
screen displays the status before the
remote controller is turned off.

2. Turn off Remote Controller

 You may switch off the power of the host to

turn off this remote controller.

 You may hold down “ “ key (as shown in Fig.

2-1) for over 5 seconds to turn off this remote
controller.

III. Description of Remote

Controller Status

 Main Interface (Fig. 3-1): This interface

displays the status of 6 audio sources and
the volume in this subzone. What is displayed
in high brightness is the audio source being
played in this subzone.

 Volume / Tone Control Interface (Fig. 3-2):

Under this interface, you may control the
volume and tone of this subzone.

 Status Interface under Tuner Mode (Fig. 3-3):

Under this interface, you may switch the band
of tuner mode and load the radio stored on
the host.

 Status Interface under MP3 Mode (Fig. 3-4):

Under this interface, you may select and play
the music for MP3 mode.

IV. Operating Instructions

1. Selection of Audio Source

Please refer to main interface. From the
interface, press down a key corresponding to
your desired audio source. When this audio
source is displayed in high brightness, this
indicates that it has been selected. Press down
the selected TNR or MP3 key again, so that the
screen will display the play status and
operating interface of tuner or MP3.

2. Volume Control and Tone
Adjustment

Press the volume / tone control key as shown

in Fig. 4-3 to enter the volume / tone control
interface. (Note: From any interface except the
volume / tone control interface, you may press
down the key of corresponding volume
indicating bar “ “ to enter the volume / tone
control interface).

The operation of volume / tone adjustment key is
as shown below:

3. Operating Instructions for Tuner Mode

Press down TNR key from main interface to

enter tuner mode interface (Fig. 4-1). Under
this interface, you may switch between FM and
AM band, select ration station and adjust the
volume. The key functions are as shown below:

Note: 1) You may press “Return to Main Interface”

key from any interface to return to the
main interface as shown in Fig. 3-1.

2) You may touch “Close Subzone” key and
“Tone Control” key to enter volume / tone
control interface.

4. Operating Instructions for MP3 Mode

Press MP3 key from main interface to enter

MP3 mode interface (Fig. 4-2). Under this
interface, you may carry out Play / Pause
operation, select the music and control the
volume / tone. The key functions are as shown
below:

V. Setting of Remote Controller
Address

Address is set for the controller in order to divide
12 subzones, so that one remote controller
corresponds to one subzone. The remote
controller address is set as follows:

① Press volume key to enter into volume / tone

control interface. (Fig. 5-1)

Under volume control interface, press the “ID”

corresponding key to enter the address
setting interface. Then, press the triangle
symbol corresponding key on the screen as
shown below (Fig. 5-2) to adjust the number
and select the address of your remote
controller. Then, press OK to validate the
setting.

For the connection of wired remote
controller, please refer to the user guide for
AM8150 (Central Audio System Host).

VI. Marking of Overall Dimension

Connection Wire between Host and Remote
Controller

The host is connected to the remote controller via
twisted pair, with the connector fabricated from
network cable and the two ends matched. See
below:

VIII. Installation Instructions

Note: When mounting the base box into the wall,

the two screw holes for fixing the wired
remote controller shall be installed
longitudinally (as shown below), that is,
install in up and down direction.

Installation Procedures:

1. Connect the wire to the host.

2. Install the wired remote controller and its
front panel properly according to the steps
shown below.
