Factory Reset Button: Used to restore factory default settings.
To reset to factory defaults, press and hold the Reset button for 15 seconds then release. A factory reset may take approximately a minute to complete. A successful factory reset is indicated by all of the Port LEDs fl ashing once. When the System LED begins to fl ash the unit is ready.
NOTE: To hard reset the router use the power switch. Turn the router
off, wait 10 seconds and turn the unit back on.
CAUTION: Resetting the ABR-4400 to factory defaults will remove all

FLASHING indicates the ABR-4400 is functioning correctly.
ON indicates the ABR-4400 is booting.
OFF indicates the system is not functioning correctly. ON indicates a USB device is connected and configured
BLUE/GREEN TOP ROW ON indicates there is a 10/100 Mbps device connected
BLUE/GREEN BOTTOM ROW ON indicates there is a 1000 Mbps device connected
FLASHING BLUE/GREEN indicates data packets are being transferred.
YELLOW ON indicates there is a 10/100 Mbps device connected
GREEN ON indicates there is a 1000 Mbps device connected
FLASHING YELLOW or GREEN indicates data packets are being transferred.
NOTE: It is recommended that a Luxul switch be used in conjunction
with the ABR-4400 to increase number of local ports available.
PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION

Computer supporting TCP/IP and equipped with a Web browser. Supported Web browser versions include I.E. 10.0, Firefox 3.6, Safari 5.0, Chrome 10.0, Opera
10.6 and up. The Web browser is used to confi gure the ABR-4400.
Power must be AC 100-240V~ 0.1A 50/60Hz.
Before Connecting to the Network
The ABR-4400 can be rack-mounted or used as a desktop router. Before connecting to the network, please be aware of the following requirements:
Install the ABR-4400 in a stable/safe place to avoid any possible damage
Make sure there is adequate space around the ABR-4400 for adequate ventila­tion and proper heat dissipation. It is recommended to have at least 4-6 inches around all sides.
Do not place heavy articles on the ABR-4400.
Power outlets should be within 5 feet of the ABR-4400.
Verify the ground connection of the outlet is functioning properly.
Check the power cord to confi rm a secure connection.
Avoid placement in direct sunlight.
When installing the ABR-4400 on a fl at surface, attach the rubber feet to the bottom of the device to avoid scratching the surface.
ABR-4400 INSTALLATION
Installing the ABR-4400 in a Rack
The ABR-4400 can easily be installed in a standard 19” rack. The ABR-4400 includes two mounting ears for installing and stabilizing the router. For attaching the mounting ears and installing the switch within a rack, please refer to the following illustration:

Using the included screws, attach the mounting ears to each side of the switch,.
Mount the router in the rack with the LEDs facing outwards. Be sure the router is level and properly secured within the rack.

Desktop Setup
For use as a desktop device, position and apply the included rubber feet to the bottom of the ABR-4400.

CONNECTING DEVICES
Before installing the ABR-4400, test the Internet connection to validate that it is functioning properly. When Internet access has been confirmed, follow the steps below for Router installation.
1. Establish LAN Connection: Connect one of the four ABR-4400 LAN ports
to a switch, access point, or computer
2. Establish WAN Connection: Connect the Internet cable to WAN 1 of the
ABR-4400 WAN ports
3. Connect AC Power: Connect the included AC power cable to the ABR-4400
first and then to the AC outlet.
NOTE: By default WAN 1 and LAN 1-4 are configured. The ABR-4400
must be configured to provide additional WAN ports if needed.
Default IP Address
The ABR-4400 default IP address is 192.168.0.1. This address can be changed. However, for hassle free installation of other plug and play Luxul devices, it is recommended that the default IP value be maintained.
Connecting a Client Device
Connect the client device to one of the ABR-4400 LAN ports or to a switch that is connected to a ABR-4400 LAN port. The DHCP server on the ABR-4400 is config­ured by default. If your client device is set to obtain an address automatically, no further configuration is required.
Verifying Connectivity
After automatic configuration of the TCP/IP parameters, the ping command can be used to check connectivity between the ABR-4400 and the client device.

Simply Connected
Windows Devices:
1. Select Start >> Run input cmd in the Run line then press enter.
2. At the newly opened command interface enter the following command: ping
192.168.0.1 and press enter. If connected properly, the system should report back a result as follows: packets sent=4, packets received=4, packets lost=0. This means the device is connected with a valid IP address.
Login
Parameter: Default Value
Default IP address: 192.168.0.1
Default user name: admin
Default password: admin
Login to the router with the following steps:
1. Plug an Ethernet cable into any of the four LAN ports of the router
2. Plug the other end into the Ethernet port of your computer
3. Power on the router
4. Check to see that the IP address of the computer is within this network segment:
192.168.0.xxx (“xxx” ranges 2~254). For example, 192.168.0.100.
5. Open the Web browser, and enter 192.168.0.1. The router login window appears, as shown below.
6. Enter the user name and password (default user name and default password are both set as “admin”), and then click “OK” to login to the router configuration window.

WARNINGS AND SAFETY INFORMATION
Read all installation instructions and site survey reports, and verify correct equipment installation before connecting the ABR-4400 to its power source.
Verify that the electrical circuits have appropriate grounding and overload protection.
Attach only approved power cords to the device.
DO NOT pull any connected cable with force. When disconnecting cables, do so by discon­necting first from the ABR-4400. When reconnecting, connect the ABR-4400 first and then the Power/data source.

Verify there is adequate ventilation around the device, and that ambient temperatures meet equipment operation specifications.
The ABR-4400 is designed for indoor use only. DO NOT place this outdoors.
DO NOT install in or near hot or humid places, such as a kitchen or bathroom. Take care to minimize exposure to excessive heat or moisture.
Small parts and plastic bags used for packaging may be harmful to small children. KEEP All ACCESSORIES OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN!
The ABR-4400 may become hot when in use for extended time periods. This is normal and is not a malfunction. DO NOT install where it will be exposed to paper, cloth or other flammable materials.
The ABR-4400 contains no user-serviceable parts. If it is not working properly, contact your dealer and ask for help. DO NOT attempt to disassemble the device.
