1. Introduction

! Please read the manual thoroughly before
bringing t his devic e into service. If the device was damaged in transit, don't
install or use it and conta ct your dealer.

2. Safety Instructions

Be ve ry c areful during the installation: touching live wires
can cause life-threatening electroshocks.

Always disconnect mains power when device not in use or

when servicing or mai ntena nce activi ties are perf ormed.
Handle the power cord by the plug only.

Indo or use only. Keep this device aw ay from rain,

moisture, splashing and dripping liquids. Never put objec ts
filled with liquids on top of or close to the device.

Keep this dev ice away from ch ildren and unauthorized
users.

Caution: device heats up during use.

Do not s tare dire ctly at the light source, as this may

cause

• epileptic seizure in sensitive people

• temporarily loss of sight (flash blindness)

•

permanent (irreversible) eye damage.

There are no user-serviceab le p arts inside the device. Refer
to an authorized dealer for service and/ or spare part s.

• Only connect this product to a grounded and protected circuit .

• Do not conn ect this product to a dimmer or rheostat.

• Make sure that the available voltage does no t exceed the voltage stated

in the spec ifications of this manual.

• Do not crimp the power cord and protect it against damage. Have an

authorised dealer r eplace it if necessary.

• Use an appro pr iate safety cable to fix the device (e.g. VDLS C7N or

VDLSC8N).

• Install the devic e at a minimal distanc e of 0.5 m from flamma ble and

expl osive objects or substance s.

• Th e maximum ambient temperature is 40 °C. Do not operate the device

at higher temperature s.

3. Ge neral Guid elines

Refer to the Velleman® Se rvice and Qua lity Warra nty on th e last pages
of thi s ma nua l .

Keep this dev ice away from dust and extreme temperatures.

Make su re the ventilation openings are clear at all times. For
sufficient air circulation, leave at least 1" (± 2.5

cm) in front

of the ope ni ng s.
Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force

when opera ting the device.

• F amiliarise yourself with t he functions of the device before ac tually

using it. Do not allow operation by unqualified people. Any damage that
may occ ur will most probably be due to unprofessiona l use of the
device.

• All modifications of the device are forbidd en for s afet y reasons. Damage

caused b y user modifications to the device is not covered by t he
warranty.

• On ly us e the device for its int end ed purpose. All other uses may lead to

short circuits, burns, electroshocks, lamp explosion, crash, etc. Using
the devic e in an unau thorised way will void the warranty.

• Dam age caused by disregard of certain guide lines in t his manual is not

covered by the warranty and t he dealer w ill not accept respo nsibility for
any ensuing defect s or pro blem s.

• Mechanical we ar and LEDs ar e not covere d by warranty.

• A qualified technicia n should install and servic e this device.

• Do not switc h the device on immediately after it has been exposed to

changes in temperature. Protect the device against damage by leaving
it switched off until it has reached room temperature.

• This devic e is desig ned for professional use on stage, in discos,

theatres, etc. The device should only be used indoors with the current
as stated in the technical specifications.
