IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Please read this instruction manual carefully before connecting your kettle to the power supply, in order to avoid damage due to incorrect use. Please pay particular

attention to the safety information.

• Incorrect operation and improper handling can lead to malfunctions of the appliance and injuries to the user.

• For home use only. Do not use for industrial purposes.

• Unplug the appliance from power supply when not in use.

• Keep the base unit away from moisture and protect it from splashes.

• Do not immerse the appliance, cord or plug into water or other liquids. If it has happened, disconnect the plug from the power supply immediately and then have the unit

checked by an expert before using it again.

• Do not operate the appliance if the cord or plug show signs of damage or if the appliance has been otherwise damaged. In such cases take the appliance to a specialist

for checking and repair if necessary.

• Ensure that the cord does not hang over sharp edges and keep it away from hot surfaces.

• Only pull it out of the power supply by the plug, not by the cord.

• Place the appliance on a stable flat and heat-resistant surface, away from hot objects (e.g. hotplates), open flame; do not place under curtains or low wall-cupboards.

• You should never leave the appliance unattended during use.

• Keep the appliance away from children.

• Use the kettle only with the base unit supplied, and do not use the base unit for any other purposes.

• Never remove the kettle from its base unit while in operation. Switch the appliance off first.

• Take care to close the lid properly before switching on. Otherwise, the appliance will not switch off automatically and hot water may overflow.

• The kettle is intended for water heating only, and is not to be used for any other liquid.

BEFORE USE

• Remove all packing material from the kettle.

• Before connecting the kettle check that voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds with the mains voltage in your home.

• Place the filter.

• Wash the kettle with soap, rinse it thoroughly, fill it with cool water up to the “MAX” mark, boil it and empty 2-3 times. The appliance is ready for use.

INSTRUCTION FOR USE

FILTER PLACING

• Open the lid by pressing the lid open button.

• Place the filter between two grooves near the spout at the front of the kettle.

• Ensure that the filter is pressed down to the bottom of the grooves and fits correctly then close the lid.

NOTE: Never leave the filter loose in the kettle. Never remove the filter while the kettle contains hot water.

FILLING

• Remove the kettle from the base unit.

• You can fill the kettle with water via the spout or opening the lid, by pressing the lid open button.

• Do not fill the kettle below “MIN” mark to prevent the heating element running dry while operating.

• Do not fill the kettle above “MAX” mark. Avoid overfilling to prevent the water spilling out during the boiling process.

SWITCHING ON

• After filling your kettle with water, place it on the base unit.

• Connect the plug to power supply and press On/Off switch, the light indicator will switch on automatically. The appliance will begin to operate.

SWITCHING OFF

• When the water boils, the kettle will switch off automatically and the operation light indicator will go off.
