ESF-1&4
Easyswitch Wireless Key Fob
Operating instructions
The ESF-4 wireless key fob transmitter has four buttons which allow the user to operate four
receivers independently.
The key fob will work in conjunction with EST-1 wall switch transmitters and ESD-1 PIR
detectors and can operate the ESR-1, ESR-2 receivers and ESA-1 plug adaptors.
NB: You can operate as many receivers as you want and by selecting the receiver MODE
the switch can act either as a single way or two way switch, however it is recommended that
the receiver be set to MODE B when used with key fobs.
The receiver can only learn one button on each key fob but it can learn up to 16 key fobs and
wall switches. Use the Velcro square to stick the fob on the wall so that it can always be
found.
Garage doors and electric gates.
Use an ESR-2 type receiver which provides momentary contact closure each time the key fob
button is pressed.
Lighting control.
Use an ESR-1 or ESA-1 type receiver which have latching contacts which remain closed
when the key fob button is pressed and will open when it is pressed again.
Learning the switch code.
STEP1. Press the LEARN button on the receiver. The learn LED will light.
STEP2. Operate the key fob button which is to work with this receiver.
The learn LED will flash and go out indicating that the code has been learnt. Operate the
button again and observe the ON/OFF LED.
STEP3. Carry out range testing.
Range testing.
Do not fit the receiver permanently in position until a range test has been successfully
completed.
With a temporary battery connected to the receiver place the receiver in the position where
you want it to be.
Now take the key fob to the furthest point where it is to be used and operate the button. Now
go to the receiver and check that the ON/OFF LED has changed state. It is easier if you
have help during this procedure.
Repeat this test until you are satisfied that the system works 100% and then fit the receiver
permanently in position.
