OSCR Sensor Tube User’s Manual
Overview
The OSCR Sensor Tube is designed to be used exclusively with the OSCR360 Capture Kit. The
Sensor Tube provides location and orientation to the system for each photo taken and
communicates via Bluetooth Low Energy. The device features an external on/off switch, which
is used to power the Sensor Tube on. Once on, a Bluetooth connection can be established
between the Sensor Tube and Capture Kit. The Sensor Tube is powered by an internal,
rechargeable lithium ion battery and is charged via a micro-USB cable. During operation, the
Sensor Tube provides GPS location data, compass heading, and tilt and roll information.
Connecting OSCR Sensor Tube to the OSCR360 App
To operate the Sensor Tube (LTC-IOT-GPS-G2) with the OSCR360 equipment, you must first
power the unit on and connect it to the tablet application, OSCR.
On your OSCR360 tablet, open the OSCR app. Navigate to “Settings” using the hamburger menu
in the upper left. Under “Settings”, enable “Use Digital Compass” by selecting the switch on the
right so that it is in the “On” position. Next, select “Compass Sensor MAC Address” and enter
the MAC address as you see it on the label, which is located on the front face of the Sensor
Tube. Select “OK”.
The Sensor Tube should connect automatically. Return to the Capture screen using the
hamburger menu in the upper left and verify that the word “Connected” shows up beneath
“Connect to Digital Compass”. Your Sensor Tube is now ready for use with the OSCR app and
associated equipment.
