The R1810- and R7810-series of 8” 15W speaker assemblies are an
excellent choice for general purpose paging and distributed music applications where economy and installed costs are prime considerations.
Each assembly includes a factory assembled 8" dual cone driver with
wired dual voltage transformer and white grille (several styles to choose
from), and is manufactured to assure consistent performance with clear
intelligibility and wide dispersion. Ships wired and ready for installation.
The assembly is available with choice of round
grille (screw-mount or torsion) or square grille,
and optional volume control knob.
Features:
Speaker (Model 810): The 8” dual cone driver has a power rating of

15 watts RMS and a 10 oz. ceramic magnet. Cone is molded of a
high fiber content material to provide smooth extended frequency response and a clean natural sound.

• Transformer (Model TLM572): wired dual voltage (25/70V) transformer has taps at .25, .5, 1, 2 and 5W.

– WB8: round screw-mount, perforated steel grille, 12.875” dia.,
white powder epoxy finish. Includes white screws. Optional volume control knob in center (hand or screwdriver adjustable).
– WB8T: round torsion, perforated steel grille, 12.875” dia., white
powder epoxy finish. Includes torsion springs.
– SG8: square screw-mount, perforated steel grille, 11.44” sq.,
white powder epoxy finish. Includes white screws. Optional volume control knob in center (hand or screwdriver adjustable).
A & E Specifications
The speaker assembly shall be Lowell Model_______. It shall include
an 8" dual cone driver with wired transformer and mounted grille. The
speaker shall have a 15 watt RMS power rating and shall employ a 10
oz. ceramic magnet and a molded high fiber cone. Frequency response
shall be 47Hz - 20kHz +
6dB with a sensitivity of 95dB avg. (100dB
peak) measured 1W/1M. The transformer shall be a factory wired
25/70V unit with primary taps at .25, .5, 1, 2, 5 watts. The grille shall be
factory mounted to the speaker and shall be made of steel and have a
white powder epoxy finish. (Optional: Grille shall include a volume control knob for hand or screwdriver volume adjustment.)
Accessories (order separately):
Lowell offers a wide selection of backboxes for efficient installation of
speaker assemblies into a variety of ceilings. T-bridges and channel rails
are offered to distribute assembly weight in suspended ceiling installations.

NOTE: For applications that don’t use a backbox, a mounting ring may be needed.
Assemblies with round grille WB8 will accept mounting ring No. PR8-1624 (with
ears) or RMP8. Torsion grille WB8T and square grille SG8 will not accept a
mounting ring. Do not use tile bridge No. LBS8 with R7810-72 or R7810-72-VC.
Lowell includes mounting bolts with speaker grilles and assemblies only (not with
tile bridge). Installer will need to supply (4) 8-32 bolts to mount to t-bridge.
