P1X Series
Description
Lowell P1X Series surface backboxes are ideal for mounting
a variety of gang size devices. Construction is 20-guage
steel with a durable white powder epoxy finish. All models
are 4.625”H and 2.5”D and have varying widths as noted
below. Model P1X-2 has two U-clips and Models P1X-2
through P1X-6 have four or more U-clips.
Model P1X
fits standard 1-gang devices including Lowell’s
Model S1 and A1 blank wall plates, MCP1 Series wall plates
with connectors, and LVC Series volume controls (order separately). Model P1X is 2.875” wide and has 4 knockouts.
Model P1X-2
fits standard two gang devices including
Lowell’s ISX and ISP series intercom speaker stations and
plates, respectively, TTP and TCA telephone handset/hookswitch assemblies, S2 and A2 blank wall plates, MCP series
wall plates with connectors, and ANP-1 with volume control
scale (order separately). Model P1X-2 is 4.625”W and has 5
knockouts.
Model P1X-3
fits Lowell 3-gang devices including ISX and
ISP Series intercom speaker stations and plates, respectively, and blank plate Model S3 (order separately). Model P1X-3
is 6.437”W and has 5 knockouts. Mounting centers are not
standard for 3-gang devices.
Model P1X-4
fits Lowell 4-gang blank wall plate Model S-4
(order separately). Model P1X-4 is 8.25”W and has 5 knockouts. Mounting centers are not standard for 4-gang devices.
Model P1X-5
fits 5-gang custom plates. It is 10.06” W and
has 3 knockouts.
Model P1X-6
fits 6-gang custom plates. It is 11.875”W and
has 3 knockouts.
A&E Specifications
The surface mounting backbox shall be Lowell P1X-___
Series backbox. It shall be constructed of 20-guage steel
and finished in white powder epoxy. The backbox shall
measure 4.625”H x 2.5” D x _____” W. It shall have U-clips
and ___ (3,4,5) knockouts. It shall fit Lowell _____ device.
