Tile Bridge with round opening

Description:

Tile bridge model LBS8-CP is engineered to distribute the weight
of an 8" speaker assembly to the ceiling support system in a sus­pended 2' x 2' or 2' x 4' tile ceiling system. A tile bridge is often
required by local building codes for safety reasons, as well as to
reduce the potential of having unsightly sags in tile ceilings due
to undistributed speaker weight. This tile bridge must be used with
a backbox and is designed to mount the grille/backbox combina­tions noted below.

Features:

• Galvanized 20-gauge steel

• Formed construction, lightweight with rigid support

• 23.75"L x 16.25"W

• 12" dia. center opening with 2 wire-tie points for seismic an­choring, where required by code.

• Mounts 8" speaker with screw-mount grille and backbox.

• Note: the tile bridge does not include hardware. Mounting bolts
are typically included with Lowell speaker assemblies and
grilles. To mount a speaker enclosure to the tile bridge, four 8­32 bolts will be required.

A&E Specifications:

Tile bridge shall be Lowell Model LBS8-CP. It shall be formed from
20-gauge galvanized steel with an 12" diameter center opening,
and it shall be engineered to support and distribute the weight of
an 8-inch speaker assembly to the ceiling support system in a 2'
x 2' or 2' x 4' suspended ceiling installation. The bridge shall in­clude provisions for seismic anchoring, where required by code.
Tile bridge shall mount Lowell grille model ___________ with at­tached 8-inch speaker model ___________ and shall accept
backbox model _________.

Model LBS8-CP has a round
center opening. This model must
be used with a backbox.
