Description
Lowell’s LVC Series volume controls are UL Listed, compact easy-to-install controls that provide precise level adjustment of single or multiple speaker lines. Choose 25W, 50W or 100W models with standard, Decora
®
-style, or adhesive rackmount plate. All models (including 100W versions) mount within a single gang E.O.Box with a minimum depth requirement of 2.125".
Standard, one-piece plates are offered in brushed stainless steel or plastic (white or ivory) versions. Decora®-style two­piece plates are available in plastic (white, ivory or black) or with a stainless steel coverplate and a white or black plastic subplate. Rackmount models feature an adhesive dial scale with clear label area instead of a plate. All LVC Series vol­ume controls have easy to connect, phoenix-style plug-in screw termination strips for pre-wire convenience with wire capacity up to 14gauge. Attenuation is 3dB per step or 1.5dB per step as noted.
For applications that require emergency and paging signals to bypass/override the attenuator, choose Series 100LVC-PA equipped with a 24VDC @ 5mA relay (see diagrams on page 2).
Accessory Rackmount Panel (order separately) Lowell offers three different RMP Series pre-punched rack pan­els for easy installation of multiple LVC Series controls on to a rack panel. All include a rear lacing flange for wire management and a clear PocketID
TM
window for inserting 1/2" labels for control
identification. Choose 3RU panel Model LD8-RMP
(8 positions
with generous spacing) or LD9-RMP
(9 positions with narrow
spacing) for mounting Decora
®
-style 1-gang volume controls or other low-voltage devices. Model LD9-RMP will also accept 2- gang devices. Space saving 2RU panel Model L
VC-RMP has 8 positions for mounting rackmount LVC Series volume controls*. For detailed panel specifications, see individual RMP Series spec sheets in the rack accessories section.
*Controls with standard wall plate may also be used (discard plate).
A & E Specifications
Volume control shall be Lowell Model _____ with a power rating of ____(25W, 50W, 100W) and attenuation per step of ___(3dB, 1.5dB). Plate style shall be (standard one-piece stainless steel, one-piece plastic, Decora®-style two-piece plastic, Decora®-style two-piece stainless steel with plastic subplate, or rackmount with adhesive label). Plate color shall be _____ (brushed stainless, white, ivory, black, stainless/white, stain­less/black). Controls shall be UL Listed (Standard UL813 and UL2043) and shall mount in an E.O. Box with a minimum inside dimension of
1.875"W x 2.688"H x 2.125"D. Priority Relay Option: Model shall include a 24VDC@5mA relay.
