VERIFACT L-DT MICROPHONE

The LOUROE Model L-DT Microphone is designed for desktop applications in
interview rooms, speech therapy labs, cashier booths, etc. It contains 2
microphones facing opposite directions. Model L-DT is a low impedance, electret
condenser microphone and produces line level output.

Wire color code: Red 12Vdc

Black Audio output
Bare Ground

If using wiring from other manufacturers color code may vary.

CONNECTION TO LOUROE RECEIVING DEVICE
(Audio Base Station or Audio Interface Adapter:

All Louroe receiving devices (base stations, interface adapters) have a corresponding terminal block marked
A, B, C. Observing wire color code, connect other end of cable matching:

A to A
B to B

C to C
Also refer to installation instructions for the specific model base station or interface adapter. Maximum cable
run between microphone and receiving device is 1,000 ft. (305 m).

INSTALLATION TIP: If area to be monitored for audio is noisy or has background disturbances, the
microphone should be positioned close to the subject 1½’ - 2½’, if possible.

MICROPHONE POSITIONING:

The L-DT can be placed directly on a desktop or any flat surface. It has a weighted bottom with rubber
padding for positive grip. For best results, persons should be 2 - 3 ft. from the microphone.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION:

Model L-DT connects directly to any Louroe base station or audio interface adapter. A terminal block is
located on the back of Model L-DT Microphone housing, marked A, B, C.

A is 12 Vdc (power)
B is Audio Output
C is Ground

All Louroe base stations and audio interface adapters have a corresponding terminal block (A, B, C) for
each zone. Using recommended wiring, connect microphone to the receiving device as follows:

MICROPHONE CONNECTION:

RED wire (12 Vdc) goes to terminal A
BLACK wire (Audio Out) goes to terminal B
BARE wire (ground) goes to terminal C

MICROPHONE SENSITIVITY SWITCH

For special installations that require less microphone sensitivity, a sensitivity switch is located on
the back side of the Model L-DT near the terminal strip. An opening is marked N and L. N is
normal and L is low (-6 dB output into 1KW ). With a small screwdriver, move slide switch to L

position. Model L-DT is always shipped with sensitivity switch in the N position. Do not change
unless necessary.

LOUROE ELECTRONICS warrants that at the time of shipment products manufactured by LOUROE ELECTRONICS to be free of defects in material and workmanship.
Should a defect appear within one year (12 months) from date of shipment, LOUROE ELECTRONICS will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the defective equipment.
This equipment shall not be accepted for repair or return without prior notification by LOUROE ELECTRONICS.

This warranty does not extend to any Louroe product that has been subjected to improper or incorrect installation, misuse, accident, or in violation of installation
instructions provided by LOUROE ELECTRONICS.

Returned shipments to LOUROE ELECTRONICS shall be at customer’s expense. LOUROE ELECTRONICS will return the equipment prepaid via best way.
