I Product Summary
1. Functions and features
The T80 quad-copter is a mini size model model designed for indoor and outdoor recreational flight. It is capable to hang a light PTZ camera, and able to do flight photography or FPV flight.
i. Small in dimension and light weight with the ability to take off and
land vertically. Minimum noise during flight and fit for a small area of flight.
ii. Safe and easy to control during stable flight. With a built-in flight auto
stabilization system, the user does not need to correct the flight altitude frequently. Thus, stable hovering and aerial flight can be achieved.
iii. It uses four direct drive brushless motors, fitted at the optimum
position to achieve high power conversion and stronger thrust.
iv. With the flexible flight environment and the ability to configure the
model, hanging an equipment of reasonable weight is possible for flight photography, FPV, etc, including any expandable legal activities.
v. All model metal parts are processed by sophisticated CNC skill,
reasonably structured, they have a strong resistance to impact, and
T80 Quadcopter LotusRC
are also very durable.
vi. Only 4 remote control proportion channels are required.
vii. A dark grey translucent cover will help to observe working condition
of the model.

2. Electronic components
1) High speed brushless electronic speed controller, can keep the output maximum current at 6A. Excellent payload performance and special stop rotating protection methods, could prevent overloading the power FET efficiently. With a built-in communication signal monitoring mechanism, motors will be shutdown gradually when lost of RF signal.
2) Flight controller system utilizes a high speed main control chip with great stability. Combined with high performance MEMS technology transducer, it provides stable and reliable flight control.
3. Software system
Specializing in development of quad-copter pneumatic layout
model, we own flight controller and high speed brushless electronic control system with fully intellectual property right. The flight software enable simple and ease of use with minimum setup process.
ⅢⅢⅢⅢ. Assembly
1. Main body Model main body has been assembled before shipping, it contains all electronic equipments for quick and easy setup.
2. Foot Stand Factory fitted and ready
3. Propeller
T80 utilizes 4 pieces normal and reverse propellers (7inch), match motor shaft with loose threaded fixture, it's need to screw securely by washer and aluminum blade holder to make sure it is stable and safe. Front and back propeller rotates counter clock wise with a symbol “7035” on the cover; right and left propeller rotates clock wise with a symbol”7035R”. Propeller installation pictures are followed. Attention: for safety reasons, do not install propellers first, do it after setting is finished.
ⅣⅣⅣⅣ. Connection installation
1. Receiver connection Compatible with most FM and 2.4G channel standard remote control equipment. Example: Spectrum, JR, Sanwa, Futaba, Hi-TEC, GWS, WFLY, ESKY etc. a minimum 4channel receiver is required to take off and land this model vertically, hover, altitude hold, fly left or right, forward or backward with ease.

2. Battery installation
T80 model main power battery is fastened securely under the
main body, easy to dismantle. Battery with standard configuration is 2S 850mAh 15C Li-poly battery, the recommended maximum battery size is 2S 1300mAh. Flight time will be extended accordingly, but battery capacity’s increase may not be directly proportion with flight time, as larger battery’s increased taking off weight, this will lower model’s thrust-weight ratio and reduce flight maneuver performance .
3. Remote controller installation Set remote controller with NO mix control fixed wing mode, rudder travel at 100%. Trim adjustment turn to middle level. If it is new remote controller equipment, please confirm it is in working condition.
Power on RC, and set throttle stick to the lowest level, then put model on the stable flat ground; you may use the level meter to ensure the model on a good level condition, it’s vital to hovering. Power on the model, then a warning tone will come out from four brushless motors; when the warning tone end, it means it can fly. Attention: do not move the model while it is on initial powered up, model needs to do self-checking on transducer, only move the model after self-checking is finished.
4. Operational check T80 quad-copter is designed as a only as standard ”+” flight mode. Put model in front of you with the yellow arm pointing front. Check to ensure your radio stick movement control the model at the right direct. Picth stick forward will tilt the model forward and roll stick right the model will roll right. When rudder left, the model will yaw left, pointing the head to left.

ⅤⅤⅤⅤ. First flight
1. Preparation before starting fly.
a. Check if all airframe parts are securely installed; b. Check whether propellers are assembled correctly, propeller
clips are secured. c. Check receiver and FC is connected correctly. d. Check whether battery is secured. e. Range check the radio communication.
2. Taking off and landing
After model powered up and self-checking is finished, gently push throttle to start motors, wait a moment for the motor to spool up the speed. Push throttle till the propellers increase rotating speed but not leave the ground, check whether model is drifting, correct it by rudder fine adjustment. Push the throttle now till the model hover and you can start the flight.
Keep hovering condition while landing, and pull down throttle slowly
till the model landed successfully. Taking off and landing features of quad copter are similar to RC helicopter, for users who are familiar with helicopter model, T80 will be a simple to operate model.
Attention: as affected by ground effect, airframe tilt phenomenon
may take place while taking off; use your rudder control to correct it.
3. Signal and forced landing
1)No signal protection: no RC signal while starting up, model will enter
standby mode, red LED is blinking, and beeper with intermittent long beep at the same time. Model will be out of standby protection status when receiving reliable RC signal.
2) High throttle protection: while powering up model, Radio throttle
stick is not in low level, model will enter throttle protection mode, red, green LED will be blinking at the same time, beeper will have “b-e-e-e-e-p” too, till throttle return to a low position, model will be out of safety protection mode.
3) Signal interrupt protection: when model in operation, once RC signal
interrupt is detected, FC red LED will blink, beeper will beep a moment at the same time, to warn user the RC signal is lost, if it is in flying status, FC protection model will trigger force landing function to land model automatically, during the force landing, beeper will keep beeping. If signal recovered during landing, it will exit landing process, continue normal flying.
Landing automatically can’t be less than 5sec, model will have
T80 Quadcopter LotusRC
enough time for landing, and actual landing time depends on current flight height and throttle stick position. It’s a limited self-protection landing, aimed at minimizing damage to the mode, it doesn't mean the protection is perfectly safe, if your receiver has failsafe control function, please activate it.
4) Low battery protection: upon low battery, model’s green LED will
blink, beeper has fast intermittent warning tone. Please land down and replace model battery. If user sticks to fly, model will lower flight height, till landing on ground. During low battery protection process, RC operation still work.
Attention: when model battery is low, please land immediately to
replace battery, low battery flight may crash the model.
ⅥⅥⅥⅥ. Operation status
1. Red LED: remote control signal indicator light, blink while no remote control signal, and stays ON if remote control signal is detected.
2. Green LED: battery voltage indicator light, blink while model battery is low, and stays ON with good power level.
