7. Directions for Use
Please note the risks involved in using a transfer press mentioned in paragraph 4
of this manual, in particular x the risk of squashing your hands in between the plates
x the risk of an electric shock
x the risk of burning your hands and arms on the heating plates
Wear protective gloves to avoid the risk of getting burned.
1) Plug the connector cable into a power socket of 380 V.
2) Set the main switch from 0 to 1. In ON position a pilot lamp will glow. Now the
desired operation parameters can be set.
3) The temperature unit is on the right side of the press. The temperature is being set
by pressing the button ^ at the temperature unit until the desired temperature is
shown on the display. The temperature lamp will switch off, showing that the heating
plate has reached the desired temperature. Also a light on the right side will switch
on until the desired temperature is reached.
4) Now set the desired pressing time at the timing unit also on the left side. Turn the
number-wheels until the requested transfer time is shown on the display. You will
see the count-down of the set numbers on the electronical timing display in the
timing unit. After the set time has reached zero an acoustic signal will be heared as
well as a signal lamp will be shown. Now the heating plate will release automatically!
5) Find out the necessary printing pressure by trial printing.
6) To adjust the pressure, turn the pressure controller
- clockwise to increase the pressure
- anti-clockwise to reduce the pressure
The press needs to be open, when adjusting the pressure! A pressure adjusting with
a closed press can cause serious damages at the press!
7) Put the textile to be printed on the supporting plate and place the desired transfer
onto it.
8) To start the transfer process, pull down the lever. This will cause the press to close
and the heating plate will be pressed onto the supporting plate. The transfer process
is running now. As stated before, after the set time has elapsed, an acoustic signal
and a signal lamp announce the release of the press. Now the heating plate will
release automatically.
9) Switch off the transfer press when you do not use it.
8. Maintenance
Following the safety directions mentioned below is essential to avoid severe
injuries to the operator and/or damage to the transfer press.
