NOTE: Before you start running your Ten-T, you MUST read the

GETTING STARTED
operating and engine tuning instructions. Failure to do so will cause you to not get maximum performance from your engine, and possibly void the warranty.
1) Install the 4 AA-sized alkaline batteries in the transmitter making sure the positive (+) and (-) negative ends are oriented correctly.
2) Remove the wires from the clips on the top of the battery box cover. Depress the lever on the front half of the plug and unplug the two halves.

4) Plug the battery into the R.O.S.S. unit in the battery box. Arrange the wires as shown in the photos and replace the battery in the battery box and secure the top with the two wire clips. Plug in the large white plug halves and place the wires into the clips on the top of the cover.
6) Fill the fuel bottle by squeezing the sides together and sticking the ll tube into the
can of Nitrotane
20% Sport fuel. As you relax your grip on the bottle sides, fuel will be drawn into the bottle.
5) Find a large wide open area for the rst run of your Ten-T.
7) Open the lid on the fuel tank, insert the ller tube and squeeze the bottle, forcing fuel into the tank. As the fuel level approaches the top, relax the squeezing and pull the ll tube out. Replace the cap on the fuel bottle and set it aside.

8) Turn on the transmitter and check for proper

Throttle
voltage at the upper right corner of the screen. Turn on the model and check for proper voltage at the lower end of the screen.
9) With the front tires o the ground, turn the steering wheel left to right. The wheels should turn smoothly and with ease. Also operate the throttle and brake, checking for quick smooth operation. Do not try to operate your truck if any of the servos or any part of the radio is not operating correctly. If the servos operate slowly the batteries are low and must be recharged. Never try to operate the model if either the transmitter or receiver batteries are low.
10) Place the model on the ground. Use your thumb to depress the starter button on the back of the transmitter. This will energize the R.O.S.S. starting system. You should be able to see fuel travel from the fuel tank to the carburetor in a few seconds followed by the engine starting to re.

11) As the engine starts to re keep the starter button depressed and pull back the throttle ¼ inch. If the engine starts running, the model will pick up speed and start to move. Give the model at least half throttle and allow it to pick up some speed before releasing the starter button. Note: If you are running at over 1500-feet elevation you may have to lean both the high- and low-speed needles as outlined in “Tuning a Nitro Engine” in the manual to compensate for the altitude.
12) If the engine does not continue to run, release the trigger closing the throttle. The engine should start ring again and allow you, follow the directions above.
13) If you should have any problems in the initial startup, please reread the “Tuning a Nitro Engine”, “About the R.O.S.S. Starting System”, and the “Troubleshooting your Ten-T” sections of the manual.
14) When nished running, you can kill the engine by using the end of a screwdriver, the end of the shock tool included in the kit or a rag over the end of the exhaust pipe – NEVER try using your nger as this is very hot! You can also use the handle of a screwdriver against the ywheel through the opening in the bottom of the chassis.
15) Make sure you always turn o the radio in the model and the transmitter immediately after killing the engine.
