Motherboard Multichannel Signal Conditioner
DEMOD-DVRT® or DEMOD-DVRT®-TC
Signal Conditioning Cards.

Assembly
The Motherboard itself requires no assembly. It has been previously assembled and tested with the signal conditioner cards at the factory. It is ready for use out of the box.
Power
The Motherboard is powered by a specialized external power supply which provides both 5 VDC and 12 VDC to the unit. Each Motherboard is shipped with this special supply. The Motherboard has no On/Off switch and the power supply acts as the switch. The power supply plugs into house current on the input side and into the 5-pin DIN connector on the rear panel of the Motherboard on the output side. A keyway insures proper mating of the male and female DIN connectors. Power supplies are shipped with either an ‘American’ wall adapter (ELPAC WM063-1950) or a ‘EURO(pean)’ wall adapter (ELPAC MED113TT).
LED
The Motherboard has a green LED indicator on its front panel. The LED illuminates when power is applied.

Sensing

Signal Conditioning Card Connectors
®
Each DEMOD-DVRT
or DEMOD-DVRT®-TC Signal Conditioning Card has two connectors. The upper 4-pin LEMO connector connects to the DVRT
®
sensor cable supplied with the sensor. The lower BNC connector connects to a shielded coaxial (or other) cable running to your analog data acquisition equipment.
Channels
Motherboards may contain from 1 to 8 signal conditioning cards. These cards are organized from left to right as channels 0 through 7 and are labeled as such on the front panel. In addition, you will note that each channel has a colored plastic washer around its LEMO connector. These color codes are used to correctly match the DVRT
®
sensor with the signal conditioning card to
which it has been calibrated.
Calibration
Every DVRT Each DVRT
®
sensor is paired and calibrated at the factory with its own signal conditioner card.
®
sensor and signal conditioner card pair is shipped with a Certificate of Calibration
which should be consulted to insure that the pair is always connected and used together.
