Chapter 1 Package Contents
Before you starting to use this wireless network adapter,
please check if there's anything missing in the package,
and contact your dealer of purchase to claim for missing
items:
• 1 x USB wireless network adapter
• 1 x Protection Cap
• 1 x Quick installation guide
• 1 x User manual / device driver CD-ROM
• 1 x USB Cable
Chapter 2 Installation
Please follow the following instructions to install your new
USB wireless network adapter:
1. Insert the USB wireless network adapter into an empty
USB 2.0 port of your computer when computer is
switched on.
Never use force to
insert the adapter, if you
feel it's stuck, flip the
adapter over and try
again.
2. The following
message will appear
on your computer,
click "Cancel".
3. Insert device driver
CDROM into the
CD/DVD ROM drive
of your computer,
and execute
"Setup.exe" program.
Please read the end
user license
agreement and click
"I accept the terms of
the license
agreement" and

"Next" to accept
license agreement.
4. It is recommend installing driver and utility if the
network adapter is installing the first time. If you want
to update the driver only, choose "Install driver only".
Click "Next" to continue.
5. You can choose the configuration tool used to
configure the wireless network adapter here. It's
recommended to select "Ralink Configuration Tool",
which provides fully access to all functions of this
wireless network adapter. If you prefer to use the
wireless configuration tool provided by Windows XP or
Vista, please select "Microsoft Zero Configuration Tool"
then click "Next"
6. Now you'll see the following message, please click
"Install" to begin the installation. If you see "Found New
Hardware" message again, please ignore it and wait.
7. Please wait while the install procedure is running. When
you see this message, please click "Finish" to complete
the installation process.
Chapter 3 Connect to Wireless Access
Point
Using Configuration Utility to Connect to Wireless Access
Point.
1. After installation is complete, wireless configuration
utility will be shown in the desktop of your computer
automatically. You will also see an icon at the
lower-right corner of your windows system. You can
click the icon by right mouse key, and select the
configuration utility you want to use or switch the
network adapter to AP mode.
2. Configuration utility will scan for wireless access points
and access to any unencrypted wireless access point
automatically. If you wish to connect to another access
point, select the access point and click "Connect".
If the wireless access point you want to connect does not
show here, please click "Rescan".

3. If the wireless access point uses encryption, you have
to input WEP key or WPA preshared key. Please ask
the owner of the wireless access point you want to
connect and input the correct key here, and then click
"OK". If the value you inputted here is wrong, you will
not be able to connect to wireless access point.
Authentication type is selected automatically, please don"t
change it.
4. If the wireless access point is successfully connected,
you'll see a symbol appears in front of the name of
wireless device.
For advanced settings and other features of this USB
wireless network adapter, please refer to user manual
enclosed in supplied CD-ROM.

Kapitel 2 Installation
Beachten Sie bitte folgende Instruktionen zur
Inbetriebnahme des WL0049.
1. Verbinden Sie den WL0049 mit einem freien USB 2.0
Port Ihres angeschalteten Computers.
Der WL0049 muss
ohne Kraftaufwand mit
dem USB-Port zu
verbinden sein.

Gewalt.

Sie das Wireless Configuration Tool von Windows

und beenden Sie diese mit "Finish".
Kapitel 3 Verbindung mit WLAN
Verwendung des das "Ralink Configuration Tools"
1. Nach der Installation öffnet sich das "Ralink
Configuration Tool" automatisch. Weiterhin wird ein
Symbol in der System Tray angezeigt. Klicken Sie mit
der rechten Maustaste auf das Symbol um das
Konfigurationstool auszuwählen oder den WL0049 in
den AP-Mode zu bringen.
2. Das Konfigurations Tool scant automatisch nach WLAN
Acces Points und verbindet sich automatisch mit
unverschlüsselten WLAN-Netzwerken.
Wenn Sie sich mit einem anderen WLAN verbinden
möchten, wählen Sie Ihr entsprechendes WLAN aus und
bestätigen Sie mit "Connect". Sollte Ihr WLAN nicht
angezeigt werden so klicken Sie "Rescan".

3. Sofern das ausgewählte WLAN verschlüsselt ist,
müssen Sie die entsprechenden Daten eingeben.
Fragen Sie gegebenenfalls den Besitzer des WLAN’s.
Bestätigen Sie Ihre Eingaben mit "OK". Sind die
Eingaben falsch, so können Sie nicht mit dem
ausgewählten WLAN verbunden werden.
Der "Authentication type" wird automatisch ausgewählt
und sollte nicht geändert werden.
4. Wenn Sie sich erfolgreich mit dem ausgewählten WLAN
verbunden haben, erscheint ein Symbol vor dem
Namen des entsprechenden WLAN’s.

instalacji zakupionej karty USB – WLAN:

komputerze. Zobaczysz również ikonę w prawym
dolnym rogu w pasku windows. Jak naciśniesz na ikonę
prawym klawiszem myszy, możesz skonfigurować,
uruchomić lub podłączyć kartę do sieciowego AP.
2. Program konfiguracyjny zacznie skanować w
poszukiwaniu “wireless access points” i połączy
automatycznie z niekodowanym bezprzewodowym
punktem dostępowym. Jeśli chcesz połączyć się z
kolejnym punktem dostępowym, wybierz go i naciśnij
"Connect". Jeśli w podanej liście nie ma punktu
dostępowego który byś chciał – naciśnij "Rescan".

3. Jeśli wybrany punkt dostępowy jest zakodowany –
wprowadź klucz WEP lub WPA. Jak masz problem
zapytaj właściciela o poprawny kod , a następnie
naciśnij “OK". Jeśli podałeś błędny kod – nie połączysz
się z punktem dostępowym.
Identyfikacja nastąpi automatycznie – nie zmieniaj jej
4. Jeśli sukcesem zakończy się połączenie z punktem
dostępowym, pojawi się symbol z nazwą urządzenia.
