• Unplug the appliance from the mains supply when not in use, when removing or attaching the blender jug, or before cleaning any part of the appliance.

• This appliance is for household use only. Do not use it for professional catering.

• Do not use the appliance outdoors.

• Do not immerse the appliance base unit or the mains

cable or plug in liquids.

• Do not use the appliance near a source of heat or on an unstable surface.

• Do not use your appliance in damp or wet conditions.

• Never let children operate this appliance. Close

supervision is necessary when this appliance is used near children.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• Ensure that the mains cable does not touch any hot surface and that it does not overhang the edge of your work surface.

• There are no user serviceable parts in your appliance.

• Do not operate the appliance with a damaged

mains cable or mains plug or after the appliance or any attachment has been damaged. Seek qualied technicians for assistance.

• If the mains cable is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• Do not use attachments or accessories which are not recommended by the manufacturer. They may cause malfunction or injury.

• Store the appliance away from direct sunlight and out of the reach of children.

When operating your blender:

• Do not place your hand in the blender jug. The sharp blades may cause injury.

• Never insert any hard object or implement into the blender jug when it is operating. This may cause damage to the appliance and personal injury.

• Do not place meat containing bones or fruits with large hard stones in the blender jug.

• If the blender becomes clogged, switch o and unplug the mains cable from the mains socket before cleaning the obstruction. Check carefully for damage.

• Do not use the appliance for any purpose not expressly specied in this manual.

Unpacking

Remove all packaging from the unit. Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it please do so according to local regulations.

Pulse Button

First Time Use

1. Before using your blender for the rst time, wash the blender bottle, blade assembly and lid. Rinse thoroughly and dry.

Handle blades with care especially during cleaning as they are extremely sharp.

2. Place the base unit on a stable surface, free from heat and moisture and within easy reach of a mains socket. The mains cable should not be taut.

Preparing and Filling the Ingredients

1. Cut the ingredients into 25mm (1”) cubes before placing them into the blender bottle. If the food is very solid or dry, cut the pieces into smaller cubes.

2. Fill the blender bottle with the ingredients.

3. Do not overll the blender bottle. The maximum capacity is 300 ml. If you are preparing a large quantity use several smaller batches.

4. If the ingredients are very dry, put some liquid into the blender bottle. You should never try to reduce dry ingredients in the blender.

Fitting the Blender Bottle to the Base Unit

1. Screw the blade assembly to the open end of the blender bottle.

2. Turn the bottle upside down. Align the arrow to unlock position and turn the bottle clockwise to lock. To unlock, turn the bottle anti-clockwise. If the bottle is not properly tted to the base of the blender will not start.

Operation

1. Make sure the bottle and the blade assembly are secure and in the lock position.

2. Plug your blender into the mains socket and switch on the power.

3. Press and hold the Pulse button, the blender will start blending. The blender will continue to blend as long as the Pulse button is pressed.

4. To stop the operation, release the Pulse button.

• Do not run the blender continuously for more than 1 minutes. After a full 1 minute cycle allow the blender to rest for another 3 minutes before using it again.

• Never blend very hot liquids in the blender. This is dangerous as the contents may erupt.

• If you spill liquid on the base immediately switch o and wipe dry.

• If the motor stalls turn o the blender immediately, unplug the blender

and let it cool for at least 10 minutes.

After Use

After you have nished blending:

1. Unplug the blender from the mains socket.

2. Turn the bottle and blade assembly anti-clockwise to unlock and remove it from the base of the blender.

3. Unscrew the blade assembly, spoon out the contents carefully or replace with the spill-proof lid.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Ensure the blender is switched o and unplugged from the mains socket.

Cleaning the bottle and the blade assembly:

• Immediately after use, always clean the parts that have come into contact with

food, using warm soapy water and washing-up liquid.

• Wash all attachments by hand, then dry thoroughly.

• Make sure that the cutting edges of the blades do not come into contact with

hard objects. This could cause them to become blunt.

• The unit is protected so as not to operate if the bottle is not attached to the base. Never leave the blade assembled on the base when not in use, always store the blades in a separate location.

• Handle blades with care especially during cleaning as they are extremely sharp.

Cleaning the base:

• Never let the motor unit, mains cable or plug get wet.

• Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth, then dry. Do not immerse the motor

unit in water.
