10 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

10.1 GENERAL BATTERY PACK ADVISORY

The LOGICcell contains a lithium-ion battery. The production, use, and disposal of lithium-ion batteries
may have harmful eects on the environment and the health of individuals who come into direct or indirect
contact with them.
The LOGICcell contains lithium. The incorrect disposal of products containing lithium can lead to the
pollution of water sources. When ingested by humans and animals, lithium can cause respiratory and
circulatory health problems.
The LOGICcell does not contain the metals mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), or lead (Pb) in quantities large
enough to present a danger to humans or the environment. However, you should be aware of the meanings
of these symbols when handling and disposing of other battery products. Lithium-ion batteries must be
disposed of separately from household waste in accordance with the EU Batteries Directive.
The materials used to create lithium-ion batteries are nite and environmentally damaging to extract.
The recycling of lithium-ion batteries is necessary for environmental sustainability. Lithium-ion batteries
should be disposed of at designated collection points, which are usually organized on a municipal or state
level. Contact your local authority to conrm the correct procedure for recycling batteries in your locality.

10.2 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

You can nd the technical data of your LOGICcell in the corresponding data sheet.

10.3 DISASSEMBLY AND REPLACEMENT

To remove a used LOGICcell
1. Disconnect all cables from the LOGICcell.
2. Remove the LOGICcell from its mounted position (Docking Bay or other).
3. If applicable, unscrew the four Mounting Screws and remove the Docking Bay
4. Dispose of all parts in an environmentally-conscious manner.
To replace the LOGICcell
1. After the used LOGICcell has been removed, return to the beginning of this Operating Manual and
follow the assembly instructions carefully.
CAUTION Risk of injury through incorrect disposal
Once a LOGICcell has been replaced, failure to dispose of the used Battery Pack correc-
tly may lead to injury through re, chemical burns, and other hazards.
Do not disassemble or open the Battery Pack under any circumstance
Dispose of used batteries promptly
Do not incinerate the Battery Pack or otherwise dispose of it in re
Keep used Battery Packs away from children
Page 22
USER MANUAL LOGICcell // PAGE 22

10.4 DISPOSAL

The LOGICcell is an electrical and electronic device that must be disposed of separately from
household trash in accordance with the WEEE directive 2012/19/EU. Products of this type are
labelled with the symbol shown on the left.
Before disposing of materials and components, check their recyclability. Recycle all parts if possible. Dispose
of all materials and parts according local guidelines and regulations. Ensure that the disposal is lastingly
compatible for humans and nature.

10.5 PACKAGING AND TRANSPORT

The LOGICcell must be packaged and transported according to the current regulations for lithium ion
batteries. These are also applicable when the product is re-packaged in case of a return delivery.
Packaging
The packaging must be labelled with a UN3480 lithium ion battery label as shown on
the left. If packed with other components, the LOGICcell must remain in its primary
packaging. In this scenario, the battery label must be placed on the external packaging.
Transport
Regulations for transporting lithium-ion batteries are set for road transport (ADR), air transport (IATA) and
sea transport (IMDG). The Battery Pack must be handled with care to minimize the risk of malfunction,
damage and injuries. IATA rules as of April 2016 states that lithium batteries may only be charged to a max.
