Generator & Single-Function Protection–Overcurrent/Short-Circuit
T2500 SERIES
Overcurrent and Short-Circuit Relay
Description
The combined T2500 3-Phase Overcurrent and Short-Circuit Relay is used for protection of generators and power transmissions. The short-circuit relay protects against faults causing high currents, and the overcurrent relay protects against thermal damage.

Connection between 2 0 and 19 gives instant operation of Relay 2. Connection between 2 0 and 17 gives delayed op eration of Relay 2. Connection between 2 0 and 18 gives synchronized operation of Relay 1 and Rel ay 2. Disconnecting the diode between 17 and 18 will disable operation of Relay 1 from overc urrent. Latching o utput relays can be rese t or disabled by b ridgi ng terminals 5 and 6 .
