INTENDED USE  Ideal for applications requiring attractive die-cast aluminum signage, superior il-

lumination and low energy consumption. CONSTRUCTION  Precision-molded, die-cas t aluminum construction — ultra-slim, compact housing.

Fine-grain brushed aluminum faceplate with matte black electrostatic polymeric trim. Clear lacquer ﬁnish on brushed face inhibits ﬁngerprints and other surface contaminants.

All electronics located inside housing. Fully overlapping light seal prevents light leaks. Universal directional chevron knockouts are completely

concealed and easily removed. Hinged faceplate and spring latches for easy lamp compartment access, no expos ed hardware.

Letter s 6" high with 3/4" stroke, wi th 100 ft viewing d istance rating , based upon UL924 stan dards.

OPTICS  Lamp is constructed using new LED technology. Provides perfectly uniform illumination to

meet 3/4" lett er stroke requir ed by code. The typ ical life of the ex it LED lamp is 10 years, ba sed on continuo us operation. Un ique LED lamp plat form

accommod ates both single -face and double -face exits. Low energ y consumption — r ed exit consu mes std .81W, 1.3W (120V), green exit con sumes std is 1W, 1.5W

(120V). Universal i nput voltage cap abilities (120V through 27 7V, 50 or 60 HZ). ELECTRICAL  S olid-state electronic elements to eliminate risk of electromechanical failure s. Surge protection meets ANSI/IEEE C62.41 category B and IEC 1000 immunity standards for high voltage

surges, electrostatic discharges, high frequency elect rical fast transients and line voltage dips/swells. Emergency Operation (for EL N option only): Battery: Sealed, maintenance-free nickel-cadmium

batter y delivers 90 mi nutes capacit y to lamp. Self-diagnostics (SD option only): Two-state constant-current charger maximizes batter y life and

automatically recharges after bat tery discharge. Test switch provided for manual testing. Self-diagnostic testing for ﬁve minutes every 30 days, 30 minutes at 180-day interval, and 90 minutes

annually. Diagnos tic evaluation of L ED light source, AC to DC tr ansfer, charging an d battery con dition. Continuously monitors AC functionality. Low voltag e disconnect p revents excessi ve deep discharg e that can permane ntly damage the bat tery. Single- point microcom puter control f or all electron ic features. Crys tal oscillator ti ming system wit h watchdog prote ction for pre cision accurac y. AC/LVD reset allows battery connection before AC power is applied and prevents battery damage from

deep discharge. Brownout protection is automatically switched to emergency mode when supply voltage drops below

80% of nomi nal. Single multi-chromatic LED indicator to display two-state charging, test activation and three-state

diagnostic status. Test switch p rovides manual ac tivation of 30 -second diagn ostic testing f or on-demand v isual inspect ion.
