Perface:
Thanks for purchasing our Litele LC-series CCD (Charge-Coupled Device) Barcode Scanner. LC-Series CCD barcode scanner apply all the advanced technolo­gies that a CCD could have. Its superior scan engine provides quick scanning w ith reliable successful first read rate. The scanner is programmable and ideal for Poi nt Of Sal e (POS) and docume nt trac king applications.
With the built-in decoder, Litele LC-Series CCD can recognize and decode most of the standard barcode, such as EAN -8/JAN-8, EAN-13/JAN-13, UPC A/E, full ASCII Code 39, Code 39, Interleaved 2 of 5, Code 93, EAN-128, Matrix 2 of 5 and Chinese Post Code, etc. The scanner can be used with computers that have standard keyboard, RS /232 or USB interface, as well as ot her devices that have standard communication interface.

Warning
Please make sure the computer pow er is off before you connect or dis connect the CCD Scanner with the com­puter (Exception: US B interface).
Other devices (except keyboard) are not allowed to connect with “Y” w edge cable when you are using LC
-Series CCD barcode KB s canner.
LC-series CCD RS-232 type scanners should not be used w ith computers without the special external DC power supply.
Please pow er off and disconnect it immediately in case the scanner is broken and the inner parts w ere exposed.
Please power off and disconnect it immediately to avoid burn or fire in case you found high temperature, smoke or stimulating smell happened to the scanner.
Don’t disassemble the scanner by yourself, Please contact our service center w hen it need to be opened.

Installation:
Installation of LC-80/90 KB Scanner
1. Make sure the Power of the computer is off;
2. Unplug the keyboard;
3. Connect the scanner cable (“Y” - Wedge Cable)
with the computer;
- Wedge Cable);
5. Turn on the computer; the scanner will start to
w ork.
Installation of LC-80/90 US B Scanner
1. Connect the scanner USB cable with the com-
puter USB Port;
2. The scanner will start to w ork right away if the
computer is on. Please note: the USB KEYBOARD port should set as Enabled in BO IS Setting.
Installation of LC-80/90 RS Scanner
1. Make sure the pow er of the device is off;
2. Connect the scanner cable with the Serial Port;
3. (Plug in and connect the pow er cable to the
scanner)-- This step needed only when connect
with computer
4. Turn on the device; the scanner will start to
w ork.
Usage:

Notes:
tThe barcode symbol shall be put in the center of
red light.
tOnly one barcode can be read each time, i.e. only
one barcode can be fully put within the red light.
tStrong light environment w ill reduce the barcode
readability.
tSmutched barcode symbol will reduce the barcode
readability.
tThe cable cannot be pulled with a strong strength. tThe barcode can be read only when the barcode
symbol has a certain height.
Setting:
LC - Series Barcode scanner is programmable. Sc anning a series of programming bar code labels can co nfigure the scanners. This allows Encoding Opti ons and Interface Protocols to be tailored to a specific ap plication. The configuration is stored in non -volatile memory and will not be lost by remov-
ing pow er from the scanner. Du ring the programming mode, the scanner will ackn owledge a good and valid reading with speciafic music(c ertain tone of beeps). Long sharp beeps will p rovided for either an invalid or bad re ading.

Problem Description

The interface of host is damaged.
Replace the host interface.

RESET
The reading of the “RESET” La­bel turns all the parameters back to default values.

The reading of the “ABORT” label discards all the parameters read prior to the “EXIT(Start of Configuration)”.

Scann ing Mode Selection
Trigger
The scan ner becomes inactive as soon as the data is transmitted. It must be triggered to become acti ve
again.
Turbo Trigger
The scan ner switch is pressed and double reading for the same bar code is not permitted. The scanner will be inacti ve after the switch is released.
Auto Scan
In auto scan mode, the scanner i s still active after th e data is transmitted, but the successive transmi ssion of the same bar code
is n ot allowed.
Alt
This scanner w ill light up when press the scanner trigger switch once.And,the scanner wi ll turn off
for next pressing.
