Welcome aboard Captain, this is your new LiteHawk Whisper!
Before we get ready for your first water adventure, let's cover the
basics together!
This device complies with Industry Canada licence-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device.

CAUTION: Do not touch the running model! Adult supervision is required!
CAUTION: Never insert any sharp objects, pins or screws into the model or product components as this may
alter components and cause electrical shock.
Important:
- Your new LiteHawk Whisper is designed for fresh water only. Do not use in salt water as this may damage internal parts.
- The LiteHawk Whisper is not intended for children under the age of 14, unless closely supervised by an adult.
Safety Precautions
- Keeps hands, hair and loose clothing away from the boat when power switch is turned ON.
- Turn off the controller and boat when not in use.
- Remove batteries from controller and boat when not in use.
- Parental guidance is recommended for use.
- Keep your boat in your sight so that you supervise it at all times.
- New alkaline 4 x 1.5V AA and 3 x 1.5V AAA batteries are recommended for use.
Battery Safety Information
- Requires 4 x 1.5V AA and 3 x 1.5V AAA
- Batteries are small objects.
- Replacement of batteries must be done by adults.
- Follow the polarity (+/-) diagram.
- Promptly remove dead batteries from the toy.
- Dispose of used batteries properly.
- Remove batteries for prolonged storage.
- DO NOT incinerate used batteries
- DO NOT dispose of batteries in fire, as batteries may explode or leak.
- DO NOT mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries (i.e. alkaline/standard)

Care And Maintenance

LiteHawk Whisper - Basic Boat Terminology
Bow: The front of the boat. Stern: The back of the boat. Port: This is the left side of the boat when you are facing the bow of the boat. An easy way to remember this is that port and left both contain four letters. Starboard: This is the right side of the boat when you are facing the bow of the boat. Hull: The body of the boat. Deck: The top of the boat. Keel: A weighted blade that protrudes from the bottom of the hull as a means of providing lateral stability. Rudder: The hinged vertical plate mounted at the stern that controls steering.
Unpackaging Your New Whisper Sailing Yacht
The Whisper is secured with screws to the display stand and the display stand is screwed to the box.
1. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws from the bottom of the box.
2. Remove the two screws underneath the display stand while supporting the boat by the hull with one hand. Remove the plastic cover, and remove the Whisper from the display stand.
LiteHawk Whisper - Installing Four AA Batteries In Your Transmitter
Always use fresh batteries.
1. Ensure the transmitter power is OFF.
2. Remove the battery cover on the back of the transmitter.
3. Install 4 fresh AA alkaline batteires into the transmitter, observing the correct orientation.
4. Replace the battery cover.
5. Turn ON the transmitter power. The lights on the face of the transmitter will be GREEN. If not, repeat the above procedure, and ensure you are using fresh batteries.
Notes:
- Remove the batteries from the transmitter if you do not intend to use it for a long period of time.
- When the transmitter battery is at the end of its life, it should be disposed of at an approved battery recycling center. DO NOT THROW IN HOUSEHOLD WASTE!
LiteHawk Whisper - Installing Three AAA batteries in the Battery Box
Place the Whisper on the supplied display stand for easier access. ALWAYS turn on the controller before the boat.
1. Remove the Whisper's Upper Deck by turning the table near the stern, as shown. Gently lift the table up to release the upper deck. Note that the upper deck has a front pin, ensure to pull this gently to remove the upper deck from the boat.
2. Place 3 AAA batteries (not included) in the battery box. Note imprinted polarity direction. Ensure the power switch is turned OFF.
3. Move the LEFT stick on your controller all the way down. Turn ON the controller. Turn ON the boats battery box. The GREEN light on the boat’s receiver will be on. The GREEN lights on the controller will be ON. If a light is RED, you will need to BIND your controller to your boat (please see next page).
4. Replace the upper deck be reversing the steps above.

LiteHawk Whisper - Transmitter & Receiver Binding

The binding process effectively ties the transmitter and receiver together. Under normal circumstances, both items are supplied like this from the factory. If, however, you find that your transmitter and receiver are not bound (receiver’s red LED will turn on), you should do the following:
1. Make sure throttle stick (Left Stick) is in the bottom position, turn on the transmitter.
2. Carefully pull the receiver unit (which is in the front of the boat), so that you can see the BIND button.
3. Switch on receiver (BATTERY BOX IS TURNED ON - FRESH BATTERIES IN BATTERY BOX).
4. Press the BIND button. The receiver light will turn GREEN.
6. Replace the receiver in the boat along with the battery box.
7. Ensure the antennea wire is AWAY from batteries.
LiteHawk Whisper - Before Sailing
Always turn the transmitter ON before turning ON the boat’s AAA battery box. Likewise, turn OFF the boat’s battery box before turning OFF the transmitter.
LiteHawk Whisper - Controls
1. When the left stick is in position A, the main boom and jib boom will be in position A. Likewise, when the left stick is in position B, the main boom and jib boom will be in position B.
2. You can adjust the sail servo trim by clicking the up and down trim buttons for the left stick.
3. The rudder control is on the right stick. The rudder will turn to the left when the right stick is pushed to the left. Likewise, the rudder will turn to the right when the right stick is pushed to the right.
4. You can adjust the rudder servo trim by clicking the left and right trim buttons for the right stick.
