Low Noise
The 6550 stereo audio distribution amplifier is another
member of the StarFlex family, and is designed to
reflect the latest in the state of the art in engineering
techniques. The 6550 is an extremely versatile stereo
audio amplifier, offering outstanding performance. The
inputs and outputs use captive screw clamp terminals
located on the matching rear cell assembly. The rear
cell model 6003 is supplied as an integral part with
the 6550 stereo DA.
The 6550 provides two high performance channels
with four low impedance stereo outputs per channel.
The input is over voltage protected for up to 120 volts
AC or DC.

The 6550 is well suited for any type of operation. The
input is balanced bridging, but can be terminated into
150 ohms. An unbalanced input is converted to
balanced outputs. The transmission path of the 6550
is virtually transparent.
The features include 100dB of Signal-to-Noise ratio
.05 dB frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 KHz,
and .01% total harmonic distortion from 20 Hz to 20
KHz. The isolation between modules is greater than
100 dB. A gain control on the front panel for each
channel all ows for independent level matching. The
6550 operates in the 3000 series mounting frame that
holds any combination of 3000 series modules.
