Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the LINDY Fibre Optic HDMI Hybrid Cable! This Cable allows you to transmit
HDMI signals up to a distance of 50m. This cable is a hybrid cable containing both fibre optic and copper
cores.

To extend signals over 50m we provide multiple solutions both with and without IR support and up to
3000m. Please go to www.lindy.com to view our extensive range.

• Supports HDMI resolutions up to Ultra HD 4K (3840x2160) 60Hz, including 1080p 3D

Installation and Operation

 The minimum bending radius of the hybrid cable is approximately 4cm / 1.5 inch, never bend the

cable to a smaller radius because this would irreversibly destroy the cable.

 Never step on the cable or put any heavy pressure on to the cable
 The maximum tensile load to the cable is 50N (5kg). Never pull the cable with higher load.

 This cable can be used in only one direction. The connectors are labelled “SOURCE” and

“DISPLAY”. Each connector must be plugged in to the correct port to avoid display issues.

 The connectors include electronic chipsets that require ~250mA of power. Your HDMI device

should be able to provide enough power but when additional power is required you may need
to use a HDMI power injector cable. Please see the LINDY website for more details on this.

 Connect the cable to your devices first before powering on your display and source to

complete the installation.

Für größere Längen sind folgende LINDY HDMI Fiber Optic Extender verfügbar: bis 300m Nr. 38003 mit IR
Unterstützung, oder Nr. 38170 HDMI Steckerversion ohne IR Unterstützung, und bis 700m Nr. 38063 (mit
HDCP, ohne HDCP Unterstützung bis 3000m).

Installation und Betrieb

 Der minimale Biegeradius des Hybridkabels beträgt ca. 4cm. Biegen Sie das Kabel NIEMALS mit

einem kleineren Radius und knicken Sie das Kabel NIEMALS, dies zerstört das Kabel irreversibel!

 Treten Sie niemals auf das Kabel und stellen Sie keine schweren Gegenstände auf das Kabel
 Die maximale Zugkraft beträgt 50N. Ziehen Sie NIEMALS mit höherer Kraft an dem Kabel

 Dies Kabel überträgt HDMI Signale AUSSCHLIEßLICH in einer Richtung, der Stecker, der an die HDMI

Signalquelle angeschlossen wird trägt die Bezeichnung SOURCE, der andere Stecker DISPLAY.

 Die Stecker enthalten opto-elektronische Transceiver Chips die mit Strom versorgt werden müssen. In

den meisten Fällen reicht dafür die von den angeschlossenen Geräten über die HDMI-Schnittstellen
bereit gestellte Stromversorgung aus. In den anderen Fällen muss ein HDMI
Stromeinspeisungsadapter z.B. Nr. 41080 zusammen mit einem 5VDC (> 250mA) Netzteil z.B. Nr.
73350 angeschlossen werden. Diese Art der Stromeinspeisung kann auch verwendet werden um zwei
dieser Kabel zu kaskadieren bis maximal 100m.

 Schließen Sie das Kabel an die Geräte an und schalten Sie alles ein um die Installation abzuschließen.
