Thank you for purchasing the LINDY Fibre Optic HDMI Transceiver! It converts HDMI signals into optical signals that
can be sent over distances up to 300m / 990 feet via standard LC Multimode Duplex cable. For longer distances of up
to 700m/2400 feet or up to 3000m without HDCP the LINDY HDMI fibre optic extenders No.38063/38163 may be used.

Installation and Operation

These Transceivers can only be used in one direction. The connector to be plugged into the HDMI source is labelled
SOURCE. The other is labelled SINK. Install the transceivers in well ventilated areas!
Connect the Duplex LC Multimode fibre optic OM3 50/125µm cable to the transceivers. Always keep the LC
receptacles and connectors free from dust!
The HDMI connectors include the opto-electronic transceiver chipsets that require power. The supplied USB cables
must be connected to either USB ports or a USB 5VDC regulated power supply.
Connect the cables to the devices and power on your display and source to complete the installation.
If you cannot establish a connection exchange the two LC plugs with each other on one of the transceivers. Please
also regard the following important remarks:
IMPORTANT: The minimum bending radius of a fibre optic LC cable is approximately
10cm / 4 inch, never bend the cable to a smaller radius because this would irreversibly
damage the cable.
Never step on the cable or put any heavy pressure on to the cable
Also regard the maximum tensile load of the cable. This information is available from
the cable maker at request. Never pull the cable with higher load.

The European WEEE regulation does not allow to simply throw away electrical and electronic equipment into the bin. Instead, these
products must enter the recycling process. Please follow your national law when you want to dispose of any electrical or electronic

Installationsanleitung
Dieser HDMI Transceiver wandelt HDMI in optische Signale und überträgt sie über Längen bis 300m. Er bietet Anschluss
für ein Standard LC Duplex Multimode 50µm LWL Kabel wie aus dem Netzwerkbereich bekannt. Für größere Längen bis
700m oder 3000m ohne HDCP ist der HDMI Fibre Optic Extender Nr. 38063/38163 SC Duplex Single Mode verfügbar.

Diese Transceiver übertragen Signale AUSSCHLIEßLICH in einer Richtung, der Stecker, der an die HDMI Signalquelle
angeschlossen wird trägt die Bezeichnung SOURCE, der andere die Bezeichnung SINK.
Installieren Sie die Transceiver in gut durchlüfteter Umgebung!
Schließen Sie das Duplex LC Multimode LWL OM3 50/125µm Kabel an die Transceiver an. Halten Sie die LC
Verbindungselemente unbedingt staubfrei!
Die opto-elektronischen Transceiver im HDMI-Stecker müssen mit Strom versorgt werden. Schließen Sie die
beiliegenden USB Stromkabel an eine USB Buchse oder ein USB Netzteil (5VDC-geregelt) an.
Schließen Sie das Kabel an die Geräte an und schalten Sie alles ein um die Installation abzuschließen.
Falls Sie keine Verbindung erhalten, tauschen Sie an einem Transceiver die beiden LC Stecker gegeneinander aus.
Darüber hinaus beachten Sie bitte die folgenden Hinweise:
Der minimale Biegeradius eines LWL Kabels beträgt ca. 10cm. Biegen Sie das Kabel NIEMALS mit einem
kleineren Radius und knicken Sie das Kabel NIEMALS, dies zerstört das Kabel irreversibel!
Treten Sie niemals auf das Kabel und stellen Sie keine schweren Gegenstände auf das Kabel
Beachten Sie ferner die maximale Zugkraft des LWL Kabels – diese Information erhalten Sie beim
Kabelhersteller. Ziehen Sie NIEMALS mit höherer Kraft an dem Kabel
WEEE (Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment), Produkt-Recycling
Die Europäische WEEE Direktive sowie das deutsche ElektroG verbieten das Entsorgen von Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten über die
Hausmülltonne! Diese Geräte müssen den lokalen Sammelsystemen bzw. -stellen oder dem LINDY Rücknahmesystem (siehe
Webseite) zugeführt werden, wo sie kostenlos entgegen genommen werden.
