DVI / HDMI Extender

L’extender HDMI/DVI est utilisé pour étendre les signaux HDMI, DVI-D et HDTV sur de grandes distances via un câble HDMI/DVI

Super Long Distance. Des distances jusqu’à 60m @ 1920x1200 ou 1080p peuvent être atteintes, en supposant que votre source (lecteur DVD par exemple) délivre un signal stable et de bonne qualité. Merci de vous noter que les différentes cartes graphiques d’entrée de gamme ne délivrent pas une qualité de signal suffisante, certains signaux ne peuvent pas être étendus!

NOTE:

Pour atteindre des distances maximales, les câbles LINDY HDMI/DVI SLD doivent être utilisés!

Installation et utilisation

 Utilisez au maximum 20m de câble HDMI SLD (LINDY N° Art.

41118/41248) entre la sortie de l’extender et l’écran

 Utilisez au maximum 2x20m de câble HDMI/DVI SLD entre l’entrée de

l’extender et la source de signal. Les câbles HDMI SLD sont reliés

entre eux avec la rallonge double femelle LINDY HDMI (LINDY N° Art. 41230) Connectez les coupleurs de câbles HDMI double femelle

comme l’article LINDY N° Art. 41230. Pour le DVI, vous pouvez

utilisez les câbles LINDY DVI-D SLD.

 De plus grandes distances peuvent être possibles, pour des

résolutions plus basses.

Aide

Les différentes longueurs et résolutions ont été obtenues avec différentes cartes graphiques ATI et NVidia, un lecteur DVD HDMI 1080i, différents écrans DVI-D jusqu’à 1920x1200 et un écran Plasma 1080i. Pour les sources de signal avec tension de sortie plus faible et qualité/stabilité de signal plus basse, les longueurs et les résolutions atteintes peuvent se dégrader!

Dans le cas où la LED de l’extender HDMI ne s’allume pas, votre signal en source est faible et ne peut pas envoyer assez de courant sur

l’interface HDMI de l’extender. Utilisez alors une autre source de signal. Dans le cas où l’installation n’étend aucune image, essayez avec un

câble plus court. Rallongez le câble si cela fonctionne, et assurez vous qu’aucun câble ne présente de défaut(s).

Vous pouvez dans tous les cas baisser la résolution à 800x600 ou 480i / 576i. Si l’image est correctement étendue, c’est un signe très clair prouvant que la source envoie un signal trop faible ou pas suffisant. Vous pouvez vérifier, pas à pas, la résolution et les longueurs de câbles, voire changer la source.

Questo Extender HDMI/DVI può essere utilizzato per inviare segnali HDMI, DVI-D o HDTV su lunghe distanze tramite i cavi HDMI/DVI Super Long Distance. La distanza massima raggiungibile è di 60m ad una risoluzione di 1920x1200 o 1080p.

E’ possibile che queste condizioni non risultino rispettate nel

momento in cui il segnale HDMI/DVI provenga da schede grafiche low cost: queste potrebbero causare problemi nella trasmissione del segnale su lunghe distanze.

Nota Bene:

Si consiglia di utilizzare cavi HDMI/DVI SLD per

ottenere le migliori prestazioni dall’Extender

Utilizzo dell’Extender HDMI / DVI

 Utilizzare un cavo HDMI/DVI Super Long Distance fino a 20m

(LINDY Art 41118/41248) per collegare il monitor all’uscita dell’Extender.

 Utilizzare al massimo 2 cavi HDMI/DVI Super Long Distance da

20m per collegare l’Extender alla sorgente HDMI / DVI. Per collegare i cavi HDMI tra di loro utilizzare la doppia femmina HDMI Art 41230. Per segnali DVI è possibile utilizzare le prolunghe LINDY DVI-D SLD.

 Su risoluzioni inferiori è possibile che l’Extender supporti distanze

superiori a quelle certificate

Risoluzione Problemi

Le risoluzioni e le distanze sopra riportate sono state testate con dispositivi ad alta qualità quali schede video ATI e Nvidia, lettori DVD HDMI 1080i e diversi monitor DVI fino a 1920x1200 e 1080i. Per dispositivi di qualità inferiore (specialmente sorgenti) è possibile che la lunghezza massima dei cavi o la risoluzione si riduca.

Se i LED sull’Extender HDMI risultassero poco luminosi significa che la sorgente non è in grado di fornire sufficiente alimentazione. In

questo caso si consiglia di utilizzare un’altra sorgente.

Se non dovessero essere trasmesse immagini provare l’Extender

con cavi di connessione più corti. Se la prova ha successo ricollegare un cavo alla volta per assicurarsi che il problema non risieda in un cavo specifico.

Ridurre la risoluzione a 800x600 o 480i/576i. Se in questo modo il segnale venisse trasmesso correttamente significa che la qualità del segnale non è sufficiente, non abbastanza stabile o troppo debole.

In questo caso si consiglia di utilizzare un’altra sorgente.

Using the DVI or HDMI Extender

Please note: We recommend LINDY Super Long Distance DVI cables (41260, 41261, 41262 & 41263) or Premium Gold HDMI cables (37400, 37401, 37402, 37403, 37404, 37405, 37406 &

37407) for optimum performance!

Connect your DVI or HDMI source to the extender’s input port

(up to the maximum cable length of 60m)

Connect your monitor to the extenders output port up to a

maximum length of 20m

To achieve longer than standard HDMI cable lengths, we

recommend using an HDMI coupler (41230)

To achieve longer DVI cable lengths a combination of DVI-D

SLD (41260, 41261, 41262 & 41263) and DVI-D SLD

Extension cables (41265, 41266 & 41267) can be used

Longer lengths may be possible when using resolutions lower

than 1920x1200/1080p

Troubleshooting

If the LED on the HDMI extender is not brightly lit, there may

not be enough power coming from the HDMI source. We

suggest you choose a different source or use a shorter length

cable.

For installations where the picture is not showing, please use

shorter lengths of cable or reduce the resolution until a clear

picture is visible.

Please be aware, that the DVI interface supports display

signals only. Therefore, you will need to make separate audio

connections from your source to your display/amplifier etc.

WEEE (Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment), Recycling of Electronic Products

In 2006 the European Union introduced regulations (WEEE) for the collection and recycling of all waste electrical and electronic equipment. It is no longer allowable to simply throw away electrical and electronic equipment. Instead, these products must enter the recycling process. Each individual EU member state has implemented the WEEE regulations into national law in slightly different ways. Please follow your national law when you want to dispose of any electrical or electronic products. More details can be obtained from your national WEEE recycling agency.

Die Europäische Union hat mit der WEEE Direktive umfassende Regelungen für die Verschrottung und das Recycling von Elektro- und Elektronikprodukten geschaffen. Diese wurden von der Bundesregierung im Elektro- und Elektronikgerätegesetz – ElektroG in deutsches Recht umgesetzt. Dieses Gesetz verbietet vom 24.März 2006 an das Entsorgen von entsprechenden, auch alten, Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten über die Hausmülltonne! Diese Geräte müssen den lokalen Sammelsystemen bzw. örtlichen Sammelstellen zugeführt werden! Dort werden sie kostenlos entgegen genommen. Die Kosten für den weiteren Recyclingprozess übernimmt die Gesamtheit der Gerätehersteller.

Der HDMI/DVI Extender wird zur Überbrückung größerer Distanzen für HDMI, DVI-D und HDTV Signale über Super Long Distance HDMI/DVI-Kabel eingesetzt. Es können Distanzen bis 60m bei 1920x1200 oder 1080p erreicht werden, vorausgesetzt die Signalquelle liefert ein stabiles qualitativ gutes Signal. Bitte beachten Sie, dass verschiedene Low-Cost- und Entry-LevelGrafikkarten keine ausreichende Signalqualität liefern – solche Signale können nicht verlängert werden!

HIWEIS:

Um maximale Distanzen zu erreichen müssen LINDY HDMI/DVI SLD Kabel eingesetzt werden!

Installation und Betrieb

 Verwenden Sie max. 20m SLD Kabel (LINDY Art.-Nr. 41118/41248)

zwischen Extender Output und Monitor

 Verwenden Sie max. 2x20m LINDY SLD Kabel (LINDY Art.-Nr.

41118/41248) zwischen Extender Input und Signalquelle. HDMI SLD Kabel werden durch LINDY HDMI Doppelkupplungen (LINDY Art.-Nr. 41230) verbunden. Bei DVI können Sie DVI SLD Verlängerungskabel verwenden

 Bei niedrigeren Auflösungen können größere Distanzen besonders

am Eingang möglich sein.

Hilfestellung bei Problemen

Die o.g. Längen und Auflösungen wurden mit verschiedenen aktuellen ATI und NVidea Grafikkarten, einem HDMI 1080i DVD Player, verschiedenen DVI-D Monitoren bis 1920x1200 und einem 1080i Plasma-Monitor ermittelt. Für Signalquellen mit schwächeren Ausgangsleistungen und niedrigerer Signalqualität und -Stabilität können die erreichbaren Längen bzw. Auflösungen geringer ausfallen!

Falls die LED am HDMI-Extender nicht wirklich hell leuchtet ist Ihre Signalquelle zu schwach und kann nicht genug Strom liefern um den HDMI-Extender zu betreiben. Verwenden Sie eine andere Signalquelle.

Falls die Installation kein Bild überträgt versuchen Sie es mit kurzen Anschlusskabeln. Verlängern Sie bei Erfolg Kabel um Kabel und stellen Sie sicher, dass nicht ein einzelnes Kabel einen Defekt aufweist.

Sie können ebenfalls die Auflösung auf 800x600 oder 480i / 576i senken. Wird dann ein Bild übertragen so ist wahrscheinlich die eingespeiste Signalqualität und Leistung nicht ausreichend. Sie können versuchen, die Auflösung und die einzelnen Kabellängen Schritt für Schritt zu erhöhen um zum Maximum zu kommen.
