2 Carry out the display of EATC module continuous codes. Refer to Electronic Automatic Temperature

Control Module — Display Continuous Codes in this section. Record the DTCs displayed, if any.

 Were any DTCs displayed as a result of the EATC display of continuous codes?
 Yes

REFER to the EATC Module Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index. CARRY OUT the necessary
diagnosis and REPAIR as required.

 No

PINPOINT TEST I: THE EATC SYSTEM IS INOPERATIVE, INTERMITTENT OR INCORRECT

OPERATION

I2 CHECK THE VACUUM FLUORESCENT DISPLAY

Exit the display of continuous codes by pressing the FRONT DEFROST button. Observe the function
symbols displayed on the vacuum fluorescent display.

 Is the display correct and complete without any missing elements?
 Yes

Go to «I3».

 No

INSTALL a new EATC module. TEST the system for normal operation.

I3 VERIFY AUTOMATIC OPERATION

2 Press the AUTO button on the EATC module.

 Does AUTO and the selected temperature appear in the display window?
 Yes

Go to «I4».

 No

Go to «Pinpoint Test R».

I4 CHECK THE BLOWER MANUAL OVERRIDE OPERATION

1 Press the blower motor speed manual override button fully up and down.

 Does the blower motor go from high to low speed and does the bar graph display vary

with the blower speed?

 No

 Yes
