Operating and controls
Switch on the power supply at the isolating switch – the green neon will illuminate. OE8413 – The branding plates create one large cooking zone. OE8414 – The branding plates create one large cooking zone, divided into two
equal areas, each independently controlled. Turn the control knobs to the desired setting. On settings 1-5 the elements will
cycle to maintain the temperature. On setting 6 the elements remain on constantly.
Note: Position 6 should only be used for cleaning due to the extreme temperatures at this position.
The amber neon will illuminate when the heating element is on. Do not leave the chargrill running on a high setting for prolonged periods when not
cooking. If it is considered desirable to maintain element heat under these conditions, it is important to turn down the control to a low setting. This can contribute to energy saving.
Ensure the fat collection drawer or suitable receptacle is place directly below the drain hole to capture any grease or food debris.
To turn the appliance off after cooking, rotate all control knobs to the ‘Off’ position,
and turn off the electrical supply. To raise the elements remove the splashguard. Lift from the front close to the
element support bar using the tool provided. Lift the element to the vertical position. Ensure that the element securing pins lock them in place.
Ensure the removable tank is fitted before lowering. To lower elements, holding the element vertical pull the element securing pin horizontally. With the pin released, slowly lower element and release the pin. Place the element back down into its horizontal position.
Note: the removable tank supports are different heights the lower support should be at the rear of the unit.
Ensure elements are cold before raising

CLEANING
SERVICING, MAINTENANCE AND COMPONENT REPLACEMENT
Do not use a water jet or steam cleaner, and do not immerse this appliance. Clean all panels with warm water and mild detergent, do not use abrasive materials.
Dry with a soft cloth. Turn the control to maximum position and allow to run for approximately 15 minutes. Due to the extreme temperature of the elements at this position, most food debris
should carbonize and fall off the elements. Scrape off any debris that may be left using the element tool provided. Before cleaning by hand ensure the unit is completely turned off and the elements
are cold. Elements can be cleaned with a cloth and hot soapy water. The splashguard is removable for cleaning. The inner element support tank is removable for cleaning. To access the removable
tank raise the element to the vertical position. Remove any food debris from the tank and pour a quantity of warm soapy water into
the tank to assist with draining. Debris will collect behind the removable tank. Ensure any debris is also removed on
a daily basis and the outer tank is clean. Do not use abrasive materials or any products containing chlorine or hydrochloric
acid. Dry with a soft cloth.
.
Lower the elements and replace all removable parts correctly.
