Instructions on recycling and disposal of batteries
The new Directive 2006/66/CE on batteries and accumulators that replaces the previous directive became effective on September 26,
2008. The directive applies to all types of batteries and accumulators (AA, AAA, button batteries, lead acid, rechargeable), including those that are incorporated into electrical appliances, except for military, medical and power tool applications. The directive establishes standards for the collection, treatment and recycling and disposal of batteries, and aims to prohibit certain hazardous substances and improve the environmental performance of batteries and all operators in the supply chain.
The battery of your device is not removable, and it is not possible for the user to remove it. The centers of recycling or recovery are those that manage the dismantling of the product and the extraction of the battery. If for any reason it is necessary to replace the battery, the procedure must be carried out in authorized service centers.
In the European Union and elsewhere, it is forbidden to dispose of batteries together with household waste. All batteries should be disposed of in a way that is not harmful to the environment. Contact local waste management officials for information on environmentally safe collection, recycling and disposal of used batteries.
Waste electrical and electronic equipment
Directive 2012/19 / EU on WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), resulted in a fundamental change in the treatment of electrical equipment that are at the end of their useful life. The objective of this Directive is, as a priority, the recovery of such waste in order to reduce disposal. The WEEE logo is on the product and in its box and indicates the collection of electrical and electronic equipment. The WEEE logo consists of the crossed-out waste basket with wheels, as shown below.
This product must not be disposed of with another household waste. You have the responsibility to eliminate all waste from your electrical or electronic equipment and, to that end, you must take them to the specified collection point for the recycling of said hazardous waste. The isolated collection and the adequate recovery of the waste of your electrical and electronic equipment at the time of disposal allow us to help conserve natural resources. Likewise, the adequate recycling of waste from your electrical and electronic equipment will guarantee the safety of human health and the environment. For more information about disposal, recovery and waste collection points for electrical and electronic equipment, contact the local city center, the household waste disposal service, the store where you purchased the equipment or the manufacturer of the equipment.
