Intended use
This consumer electronics device is used to play back audio files which can be transferred via Bluetooth® or 3.5-mm (0.14") jack cable. You can use the speaker as a hands-free kit to take calls using the integrated microphone if there is an existing Bluetooth purpose, nor for use beyond the scope described.

Basic safety instructions
To ensure safe operation of the device, follow the safety guidelines set out below:
Check the device for visible external damage before use. Do not operate a
device that has been damaged or dropped.

Risk of suffocation! Do not allow children to play with the packaging material! Keep all packaging materials away from children.
This product contains small parts that could be swallowed (removable rubber feet). Keep it out of the hands of children.
This device may be used by children aged 8 years and above and by persons
with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they are under supervision or have been told how to use the device safely and are aware of the potential risks. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance shall not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.
If the charger cable or connections are damaged, have them replaced by an
authorized specialist or the customer service department.
Protect the charger cable from hot surfaces and sharp edges.
Ensure that the charger cable is not stretched too much or kinked.
Always place the device on a stable and level surface. It can be damaged if
dropped.
Do not expose the device to direct sunlight or high temperatures. Otherwise,
it may overheat and be irreparably damaged.
The device is not designed for use in rooms with high temperatures or humidity
(e.g. bathrooms) or where there is excessive dust.
Do not operate the device close to open flames (e.g. candles) and do not place burning candles on or next to the device. This will help prevent fires.
The device may heat up while it is charging. Place the speaker in a well-venti-
lated location during the charging process and do not cover it.
Protect the device from penetration by moisture and liquids. Never submerge
the device in water or place objects filled with liquids (e.g. vases) next to the device.
Turn the device off immediately and disconnect any connected cables from
the device if you hear any unusual noises, smell fumes, or notice any smoke. Have the device checked by a qualified specialist before using it again.
All repairs must be carried out by authorized service centers or by the
customer service department. Improper repairs may put the user at risk. It will also invalidate any warranty claims. This device shall not be opened by the user.
The device has an integrated lithium-ion battery. Mishandling the lithium-ion
batteries can cause fires, explosions, leakage of dangerous chemicals, or other hazards! Do not throw the device into an open fire.
Do not make any unauthorized modifications or alterations to the device.
This device may not be opened by the user.
Comply with all restrictions or prohibitions on use for battery-powered devices in
locations with specific hazard risks, e.g. gas stations, airplanes, hospitals, etc.

Check the package for completeness and signs of visible damage. If the deliv­ery is incomplete or damage has occurred as a result of defective packaging or during transport, contact the service hotline (see Warranty section).
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the device from damage during transport. The packaging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease of disposal and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the material cycle conserves raw materials
and reduces the amount of waste that is generated. Dispose of packaging materials that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.
Charging the speaker
Charge the speakers only in dry interior spaces.
Before using the speakers, the integrated batteries must be completely charged.
Make sure that the speakers are turned off. If a device is turned on, the
operating/charging LED approx. 2 seconds to turn off a device.
Connect the USB plugs on the charger cables

Handling and use
This section provides important information on handling and using the device.
Switching the speakers on/off
Press and hold the button for about 2 seconds to turn a speaker
on and activate the Bluetooth® function. You will hear a beep and the operating/charging LED
will flash orange und blue.
If the two speakers are coupled with each other via Bluetooth®, then both speakers will turn off as soon as you turn off one speaker.
Operating the speakers in mono mode
Upon delivery, the default preset of the speakers is in mono mode. This means you can pair each speaker with a playback device. Before you can use the speakers, you must pair them with a compatible Bluetooth

Operating the speakers in stereo mode
You can also operate both speakers at the same time from the same Bluetooth® device. In this case, each speaker will play back one audio channel.
Make sure that the speakers are turned off and the Bluetooth
turned on.
Set the Bluetooth
®
device so that it scans for other Bluetooth® devices. A detailed description of how to do this can be found in the operating instructions for your Bluetooth® device.
Press and hold the
button for about 2 seconds to turn a speaker on and activate the Bluetooth® function. You will hear a beep and the operating/charging LED

Button Function
The next time you turn on the speakers, they will connect automatically to each other. To unpair the speakers, proceed as follows.

If you want to connect the speaker to another Bluetooth
device, you must
first unpair the current Bluetooth® device. To do this, hold down the
button and the button ( ) of the affected speaker for
about 2 seconds until you hear a beep. Alternatively, you can terminate the connection on your Bluetooth

device. In this case, you will also hear

Function of the buttons for music playback

Press briefly to play/pause the music.Press and hold until you hear a beep to turn the speaker
on or off. The device must be paired with your
Bluetooth® device again before you can reuse it.

Telephone functions
Press briefly to increase the volume. When you reach the
maximum volume, you will hear a brief tone.
Press and hold for approx. 2 seconds to jump to the next
track.
Press briefly to decrease the volume. When you reach the
minimum volume (mute), you will hear a short beep.
Press and hold for 2 seconds to jump back to beginning of
the current track. Within 2 seconds, press and hold again for 2 seconds to jump to the previous track.
Press and hold both buttons at the same time for about
2 seconds to activate or deactivate the Bluetooth
®
connection. When the Bluetooth® function is activated, the two speakers connect automatically (
).
If you use a smartphone as your Bluetooth® playback device, the audio
playback will be paused when there is an incoming call.
Acceptance/termination of the call can be carried out via the smartphone
or the speaker. The sound is played on the device speaker.

Speak into the device microphone to make your call.
You can switch the audio source at any time via your smartphone. To do so,
please follow the operating manual of your smartphone.
After finishing the call, the playback of the audio file will be continued auto-
matically.
Functions of the buttons
Depending on the smartphone used, not all functions described will be available.

Troubleshooting
If you connect a 3.5 mm (0.14") jack cable to one of the speakers during
Bluetooth® operation, the speaker will automatically switch to playback
from the connected device.
Automatic switch-off
If the 3.5-mm (0.14") jack socket is not in use or their is no playback via
Bluetooth®, the speakers automatically switch off after about 10 minutes.
The operating/charging LED
will go out and you will hear a beep.
Any existing Bluetooth® connection will be terminated.
Press and hold the
button for about 4 seconds to turn a speaker
back on.
The automatic turn-off function does not work while the speakers are charging.

If you cannot pair the speakers to a compatible Bluetooth® music device, proceed as follows:

function is activated on the music device.
When a device is connected via a 3.5-mm (0.14") jack cable, the
Bluetooth® function is deactivated.
Ensure that the speaker is turned on.If you use several music devices, ensure that any previous connection is
disconnected (see section Function of the buttons for music playback). There may be a previously paired device within range.
Make sure that the speakers are no more than 32 ft from the Bluetooth
device and each other. Make sure that there are no barriers or electronic devices placed between them.
