operating instructions are a part of this product. They contain im­portant information in regard to safety, use and disposal. Before
using the product, familiarise yourself with all of these operating
and safety instructions. Use the product only as described and
only for the specifi ed areas of application. Retain these instruc­tions for future reference. In addition, pass these operating instruc­tions on to whoever might acquire the appliance at a future date.

These heatable insoles are intended exclusively for warming the
feet on cold days during extended periods outdoors. They are
intended solely for domestic use, not for commercial applications.
Any use other than that previously described, or a modifi cation
of the insoles, is not permitted and may result in injury and / or
damage to the insoles. The manufacturer assumes no liability for
damages caused by contrary applications. The user alone bears
the liability.

Safety

In this chapter you will receive important safety information regarding
the handling of the appliance. Incorrect usage can lead to injuries
and property damage.

Risks from electrical current

DANGER

Observe the following safety instructions
to avoid risks from electrical current:

► Do not use the appliance if the power

adapter, the connection cable or the connec­tor plug is damaged.

► Under no circumstances should you open the

power adapter. There is a risk of receiving an
electric shock if voltage carrying connections
are touched or the electrical and /or mechan­ical construction is changed.

Interaction with the battery pack

WARNING

The risk of explosions and leakages exists!

For safe handling of battery pack observe the
following safety instructions:

► Do not throw the battery pack into a fi re.
► Do not short circuit the battery pack.
► Check the battery pack regularly. Leaking

battery acid can cause permanent damage
to the device. Special care should be taken
when handling a damaged or leaking
battery. Danger from acid burns!
Wear protective gloves.

► Store the battery pack away from children.
► Disconnect the battery pack from the insole if

you do not intend to use it for longer periods.

► The battery packs must be properly disposed

of separately from the insoles.

Basic Safety Instructions

For safe handling of the appliance observe the
following safety information:

■ Before use, check the insoles, the battery pack

and the power adapter for any externally vis­ible damage. Do not take into
operation an appliance that is damaged or has
been dropped.

■ To avoid possible risks, arrange for damaged

cables or connectors to be exchanged by an
authorised specialist or the Customer Service
Department.

■ Check your feet regularly for any redness of

the skin. Too much heat for a long time can
cause burns. Children should therefore use the
product only under adult supervision.

■ This appliance may be used by children aged

8 over and by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of expe­rience and knowledge, provided that they are
under supervision or have been told how to
use of the appliance safely and are aware of
the potential risks. Children must not play with
the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance
tasks must not be carried out by children unless
they are supervised.

■ People who can not correctly perceive heat or

cold, such as diabetics and people with dis­abilities etc, should consult their doctor before
using the insoles.

■ Do not operate the insoles unattended.

■ Protect the insoles and the battery packs

against rain and snow. Should the insoles and
the battery pack becomes wet, allow them to
air dry only.

■ Do not dry the insoles and the battery pack on

the heating, with other sources of heat or with
a hair dryer.

■ Protect the battery packs against moisture and

the penetration of liquids. After attaching the
battery packs to your shoes, they must always
be connected (even when not switched on) to
the insoles when outdoors. Thereby, the pen­etration of moisture and soiling in the connec­tor sockets or plugs will be avoided.

■ Operate the insoles only with the supplied bat-

tery packs.

■ Use only the supplied power adapter to charge

the battery packs. The power adapter is de­signed for indoor use and may not be exposed
to moisture.

■ In the event of malfunctions or thunderstorms,

remove the plug from the mains power socket.

Initial use

▯ 2 x heatable insoles with integrated heating elements and

connection cables

▯ 2 x Ni-MH battery packs
▯ Power adapter
▯ This operating manual

NOTE

Check the contents to make sure everything is there and for

visible damage.

► If the delivery is not complete, or is damaged due to defec-

tive packaging or through transportation, contact the Service
Hotline (see chapter Service).

Disposal of the packaging

The packaging protects the device from transport damage. The
packaging materials are selected from the point of view of their
environmental friendliness and disposal technology and are
therefore recyclable.

The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit

saves on raw material and reduces the amount of
waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that
is no longer needed as per the regionally established
regulations.

Before initial use

Remove all packaging materials and all transport securing devices
from the appliance.

NOTE

With initial use and for a brief period, a light odour accumu-

lation can occur. This is normal and completely harmless.

► Under no circumstances should you cut within the warning

♦ First, select the shoes in which you wish to wear the insoles .

Bear in mind that the insoles

Charging the battery pack

The battery packs are charged via the supplied power adap­ter

. For safe and faultless operation of the appliance with the

electrical connection, observe the following instructions:

IMPORTANT

Before connecting the appliance, compare the connection

data (voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with that of
your mains power supply. This data must be compatible to
avoid possible damage to the device.

► Ensure that the mains power cable is not damaged and that

it has not been laid over hot surfaces and / or sharp edges.

► Ensure that the mains power cable is not overtaut or kinked.
► Do not let the power cable hang over edges (trip wire eff ect).

♦ Plug the power adapter into a mains power socket. Ensure

Handling and operation

In this section you receive important information for the handling
and operation of the appliance.

Cleaning

IMPORTANT

Protect the insoles and the battery packs against

moisture and the ingress of liquids.

► Do NOT use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical

solvents, otherwise the surfaces may be damaged.

■ Clean the battery packs with a dry lint-free cloth.

■ The insoles should be taken out of the shoes occasionally

and aired.

Storage

■ Disconnect the battery packs from the insoles if you do

not intend to use them for longer periods.

■ Store the insoles and the battery packs in a dry place

away from direct sunlight.

Disposal

Disposal of the appliance

Do not dispose of this appliance in your nor-

mal domestic waste. This product is subject
to European Directive 2012/19/EU WEEE
(Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).

Dispose of the appliance through an approved
disposal centre or at your community waste facility.
Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case
of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.
The battery packs must be properly disposed of
separately from the insoles.

Disposal of batteries /cells

Used batteries / cells may not be disposed of in

household waste. All consumers are legally required
to dispose of batteries / cells at a collecting point in
their community or at a retail company. The purpose
of this obligation is to ensure that batteries / cells are
disposed of in a non-polluting manner. Only dispose
of batteries / cells when they are fully discharged.

With this device you receive a 3 year warranty from the date of
purchase. This appliance has been manufactured with care and
meticulously examined before delivery. Please retain your receipt
as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim please
contact, by telephone, our Service Department. Only in this way
can a post-free dispatch for your goods be assured.

NOTE

The warranty covers only claims for material and manufac-

turing defects, not for transport damages, worn parts or for
damage to fragile components, e.g. buttons or batteries.

This appliance is intended solely for private domestic use, not for
commercial applications. If this product has been subjected to
improper or inappropriate handling, abuse, or modifi cations not
carried out by one of our authorised sales and service outlets,
the warranty will be considered void. Your statutory rights are not
restricted in any way by this warranty. The warranty period is not
extended by repairs eff ected under warranty. This applies also
to replaced and repaired parts. Damages or defects discovered

Turvallisuus

Tässä luvussa annetaan tärkeitä laitteen käsittelyä koskevia
turvallisuusohjeita. Asiaton käyttö voi johtaa henkilö- ja esineva­hinkoihin.

Sähkövirrasta aiheutuva vaara

VAARA

Noudata seuraavia turvaohjeita välttääk­sesi sähkövirrasta aiheutuvat vaarat:

► Älä käytä laitetta, jos verkkopistoke, liitäntä-

kaapeli tai liitin ovat vaurioituneet.

► Älä missään nimessä avaa verkkopistoketta.

Jännitettä johtaviin liitäntöihin koskeminen ja
sähköisen ja mekaanisen rakenteen muuttami­nen voi aiheuttaa sähköiskun.

Akun käsittely

VAROITUS

On olemassa räjähdys- ja vuotovaara!

Noudata akun käytössä seuraavia turvallisuus­ohjeita:

► Älä heitä akkua tuleen.
► Varo oikosulkemasta akkua.
► Tarkista akku säännöllisesti. Ulos valuva

paristohappo voi aiheuttaa laitteessa pysyviä
vaurioita. Toimi erityisen varovasti käsitelles­säsi vahingoittuneita tai vuotaneita paristoja.
Syöpymisvaara! Käytä suojakäsineitä.

► Säilytä akku lasten ulottumattomissa.
► Irrota akku pohjallisista, jos se on pidempään

käyttämättä.

► Akku on hävitettävä asianmukaisesti pohjalli-

sista erillään.

Tärkeitä turvallisuusohjeita

Huomioi seuraavat laitteen turvallista käyttöä
koskevat turvallisuusohjeet:

■ Tarkista pohjalliset, akut ja verkkopistoke ennen

käyttöä ulkoisten näkyvien vaurioiden varalta.
Älä käytä vaurioitunutta tai maahan pudonnut­ta laitetta.

■ Jos johdossa tai liitännöissä on vaurioita, anna

valtuutetun ammattihenkilöstön tai huoltopalve­lun vaihtaa ne uusiin vaarojen välttämiseksi.

■ Tarkista jalat säännöllisin väliajoin mahdollisten

punottumien varalta. Jos pohjallisia käytetään
liian suurella teholla pidempiä aikoja, se voi ai­heuttaa palovammoja. Lasten tulisi siksi käyttää
tuotetta vain aikuisen valvonnan alaisena.

■ Kahdeksan vuotta täyttäneet lapset sekä henki-

löt, joiden fyysiset, aistimukselliset tai henkiset
kyvyt ovat rajalliset, tai joilla ei ole riittävää
kokemusta tai tietoa laitteen käytöstä, saavat
käyttää laitetta vain valvonnan alaisena, tai jos
heitä on opastettu laitteen turvalliseen käyttöön,
ja he ovat ymmärtäneet laitteen käyttöön liitty­vät vaarat. Lapset eivät saa leikkiä laitteella.
Lapset eivät saa suorittaa puhdistusta ja käyttä­jähuoltoa ilman valvontaa.

■ Henkilöiden, jotka eivät voi aistia kuumuutta

tai kylmyyttä, esimerkiksi diabeetikoiden ja
vammaisten, on siksi konsultoitava lääkäriään
pohjallisten käytöstä.

■ Älä käytä pohjallisia ilman valvontaa.

■ Suojaa pohjallisia ja akkuja sateelta ja lumelta.

Jos pohjalliset ja akut ovat kastuneet, anna
niiden kuivua itsestään.

■ Älä kuivaa pohjallisia ja akkuja lämmityspatte-

rien tai muiden lämpölähteiden päällä, äläkä
hiustenkuivaimella.

■ Suojaa akkua kosteudelta ja varmista, ettei

akun sisään pääse nestettä. Jos kiinnität akut
kenkiisi, ne on ulkokäytössä aina liitettävä poh­jallisiin (myös, jos niitä ei ole kytketty päälle).
Näin ehkäistään kosteuden ja lian tunkeutuminen
liittimiin tai pistokkeisiin.

■ Käytä pohjallisia vain toimitukseen kuuluvien

akkujen kanssa.

■ Käytä akkujen lataamiseen vain mukana tulevaa

verkkopistoketta. Verkkopistoke on tarkoitettu
vain sisätiloihin, eikä sitä saa altistaa kosteu­delle.

■ Irrota pistokeverkkolaite pistorasiasta, jos lait-

teen toiminnassa esiintyy häiriöitä tai ilmassa
on ukkosta.

Käyttöönotto

Toimitus sisältää seuraavat osat:

▯ 2 lämmitettävää pohjallista, joissa integroitu lämmityselementti

ja liitäntäkaapeli

▯ 2 Ni-MH -akkua
▯ Verkkopistoke
▯ Tämä käyttöohje

Tarkista, ettei toimituksesta puutu osia eikä tuotteessa ole

näkyviä vaurioita.

► Jos havaitset toimituksessa puutteita tai vaurioita, jotka johtuvat

puutteellisesta pakkauksesta tai jotka ovat syntyneet kuljetuksen
aikana, soita huollon palvelunumeroon (ks. luku Huolto).

Pakkauksen hävittäminen

Pakkaus suojaa laitetta kuljetusvaurioilta. Pakkausmateriaalit
on valittu ympäristöystävälliset ja jätehuoltotekniset näkökulmat
huomioiden ja ne voidaan kierrättää.

Pakkauksen palauttaminen materiaalikiertoon säästää

raaka-aineita ja vähentää jätteiden määrää. Hävitä
tarpeettomat pakkausmateriaalit paikallisten voimassa
olevien määräysten mukaisesti.

Ennen ensimmäistä käyttöä

Poista kaikki pakkausmateriaalit ja kuljetusvarmistimet.

Pohjallisten leikkaaminen

HUOMIO

Lämmityselementti on varpaiden kohdalla.

► Älä missään nimessä leikkaa varoitussymbolin sisäpuo-

lelle, jottei lämmityselementti vaurioituisi.

♦ Valitse ensin kengät, joissa haluat pohjallisia käyttää. Ota

huomioon, että pohjalliset
mitä paremmin kenkä eristää kylmyyttä, sitä pidempään akun
varaus kestää.

♦ Leikkuuviivat eri kenkäkooille on painettu pohjallisen ala-

puolelle ja ne helpottavat pohjallisten leikkaamista oikeaan
kokoon.

♦ Leikkaa pohjalliset ensin hieman tarvittavaa suuremmiksi.

Määritä ensin tarvittava koko vanhan pohjallisen avulla.

♦ Leikkaa leikkuuviivoja pitkin ja sovita pohjallinen kanta-

päästä ja sivulta jalkasi kokoon.
