Get to Know Your Phone
Welcome to Verizon Wireless. You’re now part of a growing movement that’s about speed, signal and strength. This guide will show you how to set up and use your phone, access special features, and find help.
Place your fingernail in the cutout at the bottom of the phone and pop the cover off the phone.
Step 2. Insert the Battery
Insert the battery, making sure to align the gold contacts. Press down gently to secure the battery.
Step 3. Replace the Back Cover
Place the back cover over the back of the phone and press down along the edges to secure it.
Step 4. Charge the Phone
Before turning on your phone, charge it fully.
1. Connect the USB cable to t he charger
adapter.
2. Plug the othe r end of the USB c able to
the Ch arging /USB por t and the cha rger adapter int o an electrical ou tlet.
CAUTION! Please use only an approved charger to charge your phone. Improper handling of the charging port, as well as the use of an incompatible charger, may cause damage to your device and void the warranty.

Setting Up Your Phone
Optional: Insert the microSDTM Card
If you ha ve a microSD car d, open the microS D card slot and s lide the micro SD card in to it (as pictu red below).

Customer Information
Your phone has a Voice Commands feature that also lets you make calls by saying a phone number or Contact name. To access it, press the
Back/Voice Commands
key and say
Call
followed by the name or number.
Receiving a Call
When the phone rings or vibrates,
simply press the Send key or tap ANSWER to answer the call.
Tap QUIET to mute the ringing or
vibration for the call.
Tap IGNORE to ignore the call and
send the caller directly to voice mail.
Tap TEXT to ignore the call and send a
quick text message.
Press the Power/End key to end t he
call.
Locking/Unlocking the Phone
The touch screen is automatically locked when the backlight is off.
Press t he Lock key to lock or w akethe scree n. Then sw ipe your finge r across the scree n in any direc tion to unloc k it.
Turning Your Phone On/Off
Press and hold the Power/End key to
turn your phone on. Then swipe your finger across the screen in any direction to unlock it.
Press and hold the Power/End key to
turn your phone off.
Home Screen
Making a Call
Tap the
Phone
icon to open the dial pad
and enter the phone number.
Tap CALL or press th e Send key to dial
the number.
Press
the Power/End key
to end t he call.
Setting Up Voice Mail
1. Tap the
Phone
icon to open th e dial
pad. Then dial
*86
.
2. Tap CALL or press the Send key.
3. Then follow t he setup ins tructions.
Checking Voice Mail
From your phone:
Tap t he Phone icon to open t he dial pad .
Then dial *86.
Tap CALL or p ress the Send key. The n
follow the inst ructions.
From other phones:
1. Dial your wireless number.
2. When you hear t he greeting, press # to
interrupt.
3. Follow the inst ructions.
NOTE: Voice mailboxes not set up within 45 days will be canceled. Your voice mailbox is not password protected until you create a password by following the setup instructions.
Sending a Text
1. Slide ou t the QWERT Y keyboard.
2. Tap the
Messaging
icon. T hen tap
New Message
.
3. Tap
Ente r New
and en ter the pho ne
numb er or email ad dress of th e recipien t.
Then tap
Done
. (You can ent er up to 20
addresses f or a single message.)
4. Tap the
Add Text
field and e nter your
message.
5. Ta p

Taking Photos
1. Press t he
Camera
key.
2. Focus o n your subjec t and tap

on the s creen or press the

key to take a pictu re.
3. Afte r taking the pictu re, tap one of the
following options:
Erase
to eras e it.
Save
to save it to My Pic tures.
Set As
to set it a s a wallpaper o r a
picture ID.
Send
to send i t as a picture m essage.
Turning Bluetooth On/Off
1. Tap the
Apps
icon to view your apps.
2. Tap the
Settings
icon.
3. Find
Bluetooth
and tap the
On/
Off
switch to turn it on o r off.
