2. Introduction
The LG Bluetooth® Stereo Speaker MSB-100 is a wireless Stereo Speaker utilizing Bluetooth® technology.
This product can be used as an audio accessory for devices supporting either the A2DP or Handsfree
Bluetooth
®
Profiles.

4. How to use
4.1. Charging
- Remove the cover on the charging port and connect the charger.
- While charging, the LED indicator will show a solid red light.
- The speaker can function while charging.
- It takes 3 hours to fully charge the Speaker.
- When charging is complete, the LED indicator will turn off.

4.2. Low battery
- The LED indicator will blink red when the battery power is low. (Red LED replaces Blue LED as status
indicator.)
- When the battery is not charged, the LED indicator will blink red and then turn off.
4.3. Power on
- Press and hold the PWR/END button for at least 2 seconds.
9 The MSB-100 will be turned on and a booting tone will play.
4.4. Power off
- Press and hold the PWR/END button for at least 5 seconds.
9 A shutdown tone will play, the Bluetooth link will be disconnected, and the MSB-100 will be turned off.
4.5. Pairing
- Prior to using the Speaker for the first time, you must pair it with a Bluetooth-enabled handset.
- With the MSB-100 off, press and hold the PWR/END button for 5 seconds.
9 You will hear four short beeps and the LED indicator will flicker in blue LED and red LED alternately,
when the device enters Pairing Mode.
Using your Handset, find the Bluetooth Menu and "search for" or "add” new devices.
Select "LG MSB-100" from the list of devices and pair it with your handset.
When asked for the Pass/PIN code during the pairing procedure, please enter 0000 (4Zeros).
9 Once pairing has completed successfully, you will hear a beep.
After pairing successfully, be sure to Connect to the MSB-100.
9 If you want to pair with other devices in the future, the MSB-100 must be in Pairing Mode.
9 If the MSB-100 is in “Pairing Mode” for 3 minutes without being paired to a device, the Speaker will
automatically turn off.
4.6. Easy pairing
- With the MSB-100 off, Press and hold the PWR/END button for 2 seconds.
9 If the MSB-100 has ever connected with the Handset, It will try to connect to the handset automatically.
9 If the MSB-100 doesn’t have ever connected with any devices or it fails to connect to the handset by the
several reasons, it will change the mode to pairing mode. The details about pairing mode are described
above (4.5. Pairing) and the connecting sequences are the same.
4.7. Connecting
There are two ways to connect the “MSB-100” to a Handset.
1. Connecting from a Handset to a MSB-100
From the Bluetooth menu, select the “connect” sub-menu.

Select a “LG MSB-100” you want to connect.
2. Connecting from a MSB-100 to a Handset
Press PWR/END button.
If a “MSB-100” has ever paired with a Bluetooth device successfully, such as a mobile phone, it would
initiate a connection with it automatically.
[Auto Reconnect]
When the MSB-100 turns off accidentally or intentionally during connected condition, the speaker and
handset will disconnect.
The Stereo speaker and handset will automatically reconnect without pairing when the MSB-100 turns on.
[out of range]
- When the MSB-100 and your handset are separated by a distance of 33 feet (10meters) or more, the MSB-
100 and handset will disconnect. When the handset and MSB-100 are brought back within the required
distance, the MSB-100 will automatically reconnect with the handset.
- If the MSB-100 and handset do not automatically reconnect when they are back within the required range,
briefly press the PWR/END button to reconnect manually.
4.8. Volume control
- Briefly press the VOLUME UP or VOLUME DOWN button to adjust the speaker volume.
- There are eight levels of speaker volume in handsfree mode.
- There are fifteen levels of speaker volume in audio streaming mode.
4.9. Audio streaming
4.9.1. PLAY
- Briefly press the PLAY button to play the music
4.9.2. PAUSE
- Briefly press the PLAY button to pause the music.
- For some cell phone or MP3 player, pressing PLAY button once may not pause the music, then press Play
button twice quickly to pause the music.
4.9.3. STOP
- Press and hold the PLAY button for 1 second to stop the music

4.9.4. FWD
- Briefly press the FWD button for playing the next music.
4.9.5. BACK
- Briefly press the BACK button for playing the previous music.
4.9.6. Fast Forward
- Press and hold the FWD button. On the release, the music will be played again.
4.9.7. Rewind
- Press and hold the BACK button. On the release, the music will be played again.
4.10. Calling
4.10.1. Answering a call
- When there is an incoming call, the MSB-100 will ring.
- Briefly press the PWR/END button to answer an incoming call.
4.10.2. Making a call
- If you make a call from the Handset, the call will (subject to phone settings) transfer automatically to the
MSB-100. If not automatically transferred, you can transfer the call manually by briefly pressing the
PWR/END button on the MSB-100(speaker and handset must be paired).
4.10.3. Voice dialing*
- Briefly press the PWR/END button. You will get the best results if you record the voice dialing tag through
your MSB-100.
NOTE: If the Handset does not support the Voice Dial, the MSB-100 will activate the last number redialing.
4.10.4. Last number redial*
- Press and hold the PWR/END button for 1 second to activate “Last Number Redial”.
The Speaker will beep. and call the last number dialed.
4.10.5. Ending a call
- Briefly press the PWR/END button.
