sources of ignition and air out the room in which the appliance is standing for several
minutes.
In order to avoid the creation of a flammable gas air mixture if a leak in the refrigerating
circuit occurs, the size of the room in which the appliance may be sited depends on the
amount of refrigerant used. The room must be 10.8 square feet (1 square meter) in size for

•Too small of a distance from adjacent items may
result in lowered freezing capability and increased
electricity consumption charges. Allow at least 22.6
inches (575 mm) in front of the refrigerator to open
the doors, and at least 2 inches (50.8 mm) between
the back of the refrigerator and the wall.
